WWE News: John Cena To Face The Undertaker At ‘WrestleMania 32,’ Could It Be Undertaker’s Last Match?

The Undertaker might be getting up in age, but he has still been able to deliver matches worthy of the main event they have possessed over the years. Whether he has faced Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, or Triple H, it never truly mattered. Each match was great because Undertaker was part of it. Sometimes you find a great dance partner who only makes the match better, which was the case with Michaels on two different occasions.

Despite having great matches with all of these men, one match has yet to happen on the grandest stage of them all. However, that could change. According to PWInsider, WWE has scheduled a few matches for WrestleMania 32 already. One match is said to be Triple H vs The Rock, which has been rumored but not quite confirmed. Then the big one is an interesting match of The Undertaker vs John Cena.

WWE has no plans for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at the event as of this writing. WWE was set to have Seth Rollins potentially facing off with Roman Reigns, but due to Rollins getting hurt, those plans have obviously been nixed.

WWE does need another big match, as they want to sell out the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, next year for the event. The issue WWE has been facing is numerous injuries. However, they will have the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton back, and even people like Rusev, Lana, and Sami Zayn. In fact, a Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn match is speculated, but not yet confirmed.

WWE knows that The Undertaker needs someone of major popularity to end his career on. It is said that this is his last run, and he won’t be back for another one, which could be why he has worked so many shows this year thus far. In order to end his career right, who better to have him face than John Cena? It is said that if the match happens, it was because Undertaker personally requested it.

WWE has wanted this match to happen for years, but WWE has always taken Cena in a different direction, as well as The Undertaker. However, now that they have a plan in place earlier on to do it, WWE can lead all storylines into the two of them clashing at the biggest event of the year.

Plus, if Undertaker requested John Cena as his last match, WWE will respect that, and Cena will be more than willing. Undertaker is possibly the most respected man in all of professional wrestling, which says a great deal. You don’t hear a bad word about him, and he’s always put the business first. When it comes to his final run, you probably are bound to let him call the shots.

While people will say that The Undertaker will be back every single year for another WrestleMania match until he dies, that does not seem to be the case for The Deadman. The issue at the end of the day is that the wrestling business is full of people who go too long. In an interview with Off the Record around 13 years ago, Undertaker claimed that he will wrestle as long as he can do so at a good level. However, the moment a dad says to his son that he should have seen Undertaker years ago when he was better, that was when he needed to hang up his boots.

That time has come for Undertaker, even though he is still able to deliver good matches. The end of a career is never easy for a pro-wrestler, especially a great one like Undertaker. However, all must come to an end. If that day comes at WrestleMania 32, John Cena is a good guy to deliver your last great performance with.
