Nora one-ups Keyboard Cat, performs with full chamber orchestra

classical-cat

A cat with a predisposition to classical music has made its orchestral debut in a CATcerto.

Nora the piano cat lead the CATcerto, which was written around video of her playing by Lithuanian composer Mindaugas Piecaitis. The finished work was performed by the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra on June 5th, with Nora performing on piano on a big screen at the back of the room (see picture above.)

Count this as a cat finally one-upping Keyboard Cat. Video of the CATcerto performance below. Nora also has her own blog here.

  1. Don't want to say anything negative about the deceased (Keyborad Cat has been dead for some time now), but there's really no comparison between he and Nora. Any cat can have its arms manipulated against his/her will by an offscreen human. Nora plays when and what she wants.
