Miranda Lambert Shares Telling Song Lyrics Following Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani’s Relationship Confirmation

On November 5, Miranda Lambert shared the following lyrics with her many fans and followers, which were taken from a Lake Street Dive song.
“I could spend ages reading the news… I could spend days, singing the blues… But I turn up the tv light… Give up without a fight… Better than pretending to know what’s wrong and what’s right.”
Miranda Lambert parted ways with Shelton after four years of marriage this past July, and one month later, Stefani announced she and Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years and the father of her three children, were calling it quits, as well. Although rumors began swirling regarding The Voice co-stars’ possible romance a short time after their marriages came to an end, it wasn’t until earlier this week, when their relationship was officially confirmed by Stefani’s rep.
On Wednesday, November 4, Stefani’s rep spoke to a number of media outlets, including Us Weekly, and explained, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating.”
Just hours later, Miranda Lambert arrived on the red carpet at the Country Music Awards, which was an event also attended by her ex-husband. Having to be in the same place with Shelton was likely challenging for Miranda Lambert, especially considering his relationship with Stefani had just been confirmed. Adding to the awkward tension between them was likely the fact that Stefani was in Nashville, as well. While Stefani didn’t attend the Country Music Awards, she met up with Shelton later in the evening, and the two were later spotted holding hands while out with friends.

On November 5, Hollywood Life claimed Miranda Lambert was “heartbroken” over news of Shelton and Stefani’s romance and struggled to enjoy her big win during Wednesday night’s show.
“[Miranda Lambert] won one of the best awards of the night and she couldn’t even enjoy it. She was just holding back tears the whole time… [Miranda Lambert] doesn’t understand why they had to make things official that night, it should have been her biggest night but all she could think about was Blake being with Gwen.”
“It was so insensitive, [Miranda Lambert] was with this guy for almost a decade, and this is how he treats her!” the source continued. “[Miranda Lambert] feels like she doesn’t even know who he is anymore, she wonders if she ever did. The only silver lining is she’s getting great material, a lot of great songs will come out of this.”
For Miranda Lambert, news of Shelton’s romance with Stefani has allegedly led her to wonder if something had been going on between Shelton and Stefani prior to their relationship reveal.
“[Miranda Lambert] had her suspicions but didn’t really know it was a real thing until the announcement, but she doesn’t care. She’s divorced and he can date who he wants,” a source told Us Weekly.
Carson Daly, the host of The Voice, was also unsurprised by news of Shelton and Stefani’s romance. During an appearance on the Today show, via E! News, earlier this week, Daly admitted to his suspicions regarding their possible romance after witnessing their cozy Halloween photos. Daly also joked that he didn’t think Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband could get such a hot chick, and his fellow country star, Luke Bryan, felt the same way.
