‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Big News About Glenn, Garret Dillahunt’s Reponse To Negan Rumors

The Walking Dead powers-that-be can be so cruel! Fans of the show are dying to know whether or not Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) found some clever way to survive his fall from the dumpster of death, and last week all they got was an extra-long episode about Tabitha the goat, pre-Jedi Morgan (Lennie James), and his cheesemaker Yoda (John Carroll Lynch). To make matters worse, Steven Yeun’s name was removed from the Walking Dead opening credits.

Will viewers finally find out Glenn’s fate this week? If you don’t want know, stop reading now — major spoilers about the Walking Dead comic books and TV series are ahead. However, there’s a bit of happy news and some fun casting speculation, so why would you want to stop reading?

The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page has posted its list of weekly Walking Dead spoilers, and there’s bad news for Glenn fans — the spoilers confirm that Glenn won’t appear in this week’s episode, which is titled “Now.” However, there’s also some exciting news for Gleggie fans — Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will find out that she’s pregnant! Little Ass Kicker better get ready to share all that attention she’s getting as the only baby in town.

Unfortunately for Maggie, The Walking Dead isn’t going to let her have a truly happy moment when she discovers that she’s expecting — after all, her husband is missing. She and Aaron (Ross Marquand) head out in search of Glenn, but a nasty encounter with a sewer walker prevents them from making it to his last known location.

In other Walking Dead relationship news, Tara (Alanna Masterson) will make out with an unnamed woman, and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) will finally get to share a romantic moment with Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge).

Now for a bit of good news about Glenn. Steven Yeun was photographed on the Walking Dead set on October 29, and it looks like his character was healthy enough to drive. He was photographed filming scenes with the group that was last seen going on the slowest road trip ever, Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Daryl (Norman Reedus). This seems to indicate that he wasn’t filming a flashback sequence, so there’s a high probability that Glenn survived his dumpster dive. Walking Dead fans finally might get to see a bit more of his story during Episode 7.

Unfortunately, Glenn fans still have to worry about having the beloved character ripped away from them permanently in the near future. If TV Glenn meets the same fate as his Walking Dead comic book counterpart, he’ll be a goner shortly after the introduction of comic book villain Negan. And speaking of the psychopath with a baseball bat, the Inquisitr previously reported that many fans of The Walking Dead are convinced that Justified star Garret Dillahunt has been cast as Negan. The speculation started after Dillahunt tweeted a photo of his new “reading material,” which just so happens to be the Walking Dead compendium that features Negan’s introduction. Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple also recently started following the actor on Twitter.

In response to the rumors going viral, Garret Dillahunt decided to screw around with Walking Dead fans who recently started pestering him like crazy on social media. One fan asked him if a photo of a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire (Negan’s weapon of choice) means anything to him, and Dillahunt played dumb by referencing Batman baddie Harley Quinn, another villain who loves hitting people in the head with a hunk of wood.

Garret Dillahunt also shared an Instagram photo of himself looking rather Negan-like.

Garret Dillahunt Hints That He Scored Negan Role In 'The Walking Dead'

“Closer. Bloody crew cut in the woods,” he captioned the picture. “Who do I look like? #makemycase #lobbying #demandit.”

Dillahunt’s hashtags seem to suggest that he hasn’t actually scored the role, but he’s hoping that it’s still up for grabs. Unfortunately, this might not be the case. According to Pajiba, rumor has it that whoever is playing Negan will start filming this week. If this is true, it’s too late for Dillahunt to launch a bid for the part. However, perhaps he’ll pop on The Walking Dead as a different character.

So do you think that the dad from Raising Hope will turn Glenn’s melon into mush in a future episode of The Walking Dead?
