Regardless of whether one likes or agrees with Sara Palin politically or religiously does not justify slandering her character and harassing her family. She has been a governor the great state of Alaska which is one achievement that the fool who so easily called her a “Whore” will most likely never do. She at least attempted to serve our country by running for the office of vice president which is also something this man will most likely never do. And if he ever did he would not get even close to the number of votes she got unless he makes major improvements in his manners.
When are we ever going to be free from political zealots who lack the moral strength of character to respect the rights of others to sincerely dissent from their views without trying to silence such descent by subjecting their opponent’s family to public abuse, slander, defamation, and general harassment?
There are only two ways to silence descent. One is by persuasion and the other is by force in whatever form it takes whether it is physical violence or verbal harassment. Instead of simply persuading them with arguments filled with sufficient facts to cause them to willingly change their minds intimidation often becomes the weapon of choice and if that does not work some will resort to violence. Zealots like this man who has little or no argument that he believes is sufficient to persuade others to accept his views often feel that they must resort to other tactics. This particular political zealot is so pathetically frustrated that he cannot resist blurting out lies to vent his frustration. It seems that he is frustrated with what he may think is a lost cause. He therefore cannot resist responding with words that he may hope is sufficiently intimidating to cause others to simply abdicate and fall down and grant him the right to have his way without any opposition out of fear that he may again intimidate them in public.
He was surely surprised to find that the people who are like the Palins do not just lie down and let others walk on them so easily. What a revelation that must be to this idiot. His pride was so hurt by this brave little woman who stood up to him that he must now go crying like a whining little child to the courts for relief. It seems that everything took a turn for the worst for him when he was unexpectedly confronted with a challenge to his ignorant abusive rant. Suddenly it was very apparent that he was completely impotent to defend his position. He must have sensed eventually just how small he looked after his attempts at intimidation turned into embarrassment for him. It must have burned for a long time afterward as the realization gradually sunk in that he was so easily made to look like a fool when he could not offer any evidence that Sara Palin was in fact a whore! It was simply his resorting to the use of this too often disparaging epithet that women must endure when men are frustrated and angry with them that demonstrated the impotence of his assertion not to mention his political position and his character. I almost doubt that this “man” could have handled himself very well if this had escalated into a physical confrontation. I suspect that if violence had occurred that this woman just might have ended up being sued for rearranging the components of his face as well as defaming his obviously less than sterling character!
I am glad that Bristol Palin stood up to this fool and hope that women everywhere will insist that it is time for men to stop calling them “Whores” just because they do not like their religious or political beliefs and opinions. And I think that it is time for all women in this country to at least agree with her that men should put this particular epithet to rest forever unless they can prove it to be the actual truth.
This idiot’s law suit is going nowhere since he is solely responsible for the position that his ignorant comments put him into. Come into a bar and publicly defame my mother’s character to my face and see what happens. Bristol’s response was dangerous but nevertheless reasonable and somewhat controlled. If I had no more control over my emotions that this fool has my response might have been deadly!
