Kim Richards Is Caring For Monty Brinson, Brandi Glanville Reveals ‘RHOBH’ Co-Star’s Cancer-Striken Ex-Husband Has A Brain Tumor

Kim Richards has a lot on her plate. In addition to the former child actress’ unexpected return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the show’s recently filmed finale episode, Richards is said to be caring for her cancer-stricken ex-husband, Monty Brinson.

Although Kim Richards and Brinson have stayed silent on the issue, at least when it comes to the media, Kim Richards’ co-star and friend, Brandi Glanville, recently shared devastating news involving Brinson’s lung cancer.

“His lung cancer now developed into a tumor in his brain. They can’t operate on it, so they’re going to do some radiation and steroid treatment to try to shrink it,” Glanville told People Magazine at Rhonda’s Kiss All-Star benefit event in Los Angeles earlier this week, according to a November 5 report.

“He is the sweetest soul. You can’t help but love Monty. He’s always kind to everyone across the board. He’s a good solid guy.”

Although Kim Richards and Brinson divorced decades ago after just three years of marriage, they have remained close friends, and have lived together at times. So, when Brinson was diagnosed with cancer, Kim Richards offered her support, and has remained close ever since. Kim Richards is even sleeping at the hospital where her ex-husband is currently receiving care, but despite that, Glanville said Kim Richards is “doing great.”

“[Kim Richards]’s ride or die. She’s right next to him. And she’s taking care of him.”

Glanville went on to reveal Kim Richards’ other co-star, Yolanda Foster, as well as her husband, David, have also visited the hospital to offer their support to Brinson.

“We’re really friends, the three of us,” Glanville explained.

Prior to Glanville’s announcement of Brinson’s brain tumor, he had taken to Instagram, where he hinted in a post to fans that something may be wrong. In the message, Kim Richards’ ex-husband wrote, “I’ve been in the hospital, first of all my lung cancer results are great. But something else has happened which I’ll explain later.”

Two days later, however, Kim Richards’ friend Glanville broke the news for him.

In other Kim Richards news, a recent report confirmed her return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 6, revealing the actress shot scenes for the show’s finale, which was taped at her younger sister Kyle Richards’ home.

An insider explained the following to Radar Online on November 5.

“[Kim Richards] took several members of the crew aside, and apologized profusely for her behavior recently. There were a lot of tears as Kim explained she is committed to her sobriety. Kim also owned up to her past bad behavior to the other ladies. There was a lot of concern for Kyle as well. The sisters appear to be starting a new chapter in their relationship after not speaking for months.”

During Kyle’s finale party, Kim Richards has kept a very low profile as she made amends with co-stars she had hurt during previous seasons, and rather than draw attention to herself, she did so in a calm manner.

Kim Richards was reportedly fired earlier this year after suffering multiple alcohol relapses. At the time, it was noted that she had lied to Bravo and avoided phone calls ahead of production, which began around the same time she entered a treatment facility to address her issues with substance abuse.
