‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ — Ben Affleck’s Batman Will Have A Whole New Suit, Jesse Eisenberg Is Not Lex Luthor?

Exciting new details have emerged about Warner Bros. upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The new information was released during the recent New York Comic-Con event and centers on details concerning Batman’s new suit and Jesse Eisenberg’s role in the film.

In an interview with GQ during the event, Michael Wilkinson, the costume designer for the movie, discussed the work involved in creating a new look for Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).

“It was definitely a labor of love. We all feel so passionately about all these characters, they’ve been around for such a long time,” he stated in the video interview. “They mean so much to so many people so we made sure we did our homework.”

As far as Batman’s suit is concerned, Wilkinson revealed that director Zack Snyder wanted a hero that had a lot of bulk to his character.

“For Batman, it was really important for Zack that we created a whole new Batman. He said the most important thing for our Batman is that he comes across as a really hulking big guy. He is super pumped up. He’s going to be even bigger than Superman in silhouette. His strength is not through armor and gadgets and things, but he’s just like a tower of muscle.”

This new look for Batman makes sense, especially considering that he’ll be trying to take down the all-powerful Superman and will need all the extra muscle and bulk he can manage. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait until the movie is released to see just how Batman will look in his new getup.

With the new suit set to be reminiscent of a greek god statue, Batman v Superman set photographer Clay Enos recently posted an image on Instagram that shows just how ripped Batman will look in the film. In the image, Batman is seen in his new costume standing next to his Batmobile with a deep scowl on his face.

“You asked for it,” Enos tagged the image.

Meanwhile, in a surprising twist, new information has surfaced concerning Eisenberg’s part as Luthor. Although it was thought that the actor would be playing the iconic Superman villain Lex Luthor, it was recently revealed that he actually be playing the son of Lex, Alexander Luthor Jr.

This announcement was made via social media after a Twitter account was created for Eisenberg’s character.

“@FortuneMagazine Looking forward to reading about #LexCorp. Father would be proud,” the account posted.

As was alluded to in the social media message, Alexander sat down for a fictional interview with Fortune Magazine, which published the piece online.

“Dad named the company after himself 10 years before I made my unexpected entrance into his life. But investors seemed to respond to the idea of an adoring father building a legacy for his precious son. He used that to his advantage. It was a good shtick and, whatever else he was, he was a good businessman,” Alexander stated.

Along with revealing information about his father, Alexander also discussed his plans for the future and how his company is on the verge of a technological breakthrough that would change the world. According to Tech Times, this advancement will have something to do with defending the U.S., though the details remain vague at this point.

With that in mind, this major advancement in technology is likely something that will be a major plot point in the movie. Whether or not it has something to do with Batman’s fight with Superman is yet to be seen.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theaters everywhere in March 2016.
