‘MDLLA’ Madison Hildebrand Talks Heather Bilyeu’s Firing And Commission Dispute, Says Josh Altman Is Selfish And A Liar

On the last episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh Altman was none too pleased to see the return of Madison Hildebrand. The two men found themselves face-to-face again, after having had no contact for a long time, when it turned out that Madison’s client was interested in a house that Josh was showing. Not surprisingly, the interaction between Josh and Madison was not very pleasant. Josh accused Madison of ripping off his fiancée, Heather Bilyeu, when she worked for him.

Yet according to Madison, he didn’t rip Heather off. In his latest BravoTV.com blog post, posted on Wednesday, Madison gave his side of the story. According to Madison, Heather went behind his back to do business with Josh. This, coupled with the fact that she was dating Josh, meant that he had to fire her and didn’t owe her the bonuses.

When Heather worked for me, we had a contract, of course, and in the contract she was privy to earning bonuses, at my discretion, for closings. However, once she lied to me about taking a co-listing with Josh Altman behind my back, it left me no choice to fire her immediately as it was also evident, per Heather, that her and Josh were beginning to date. That is a huge conflict of interest, so I had to let her go… and in doing so, she was not privy to any bonuses for being dishonest and manipulative while on salary working exclusively for me. She then fabricated the story for attention and brought Josh into it all.”

When asked about the best and worst part of negotiating with Josh, Madison did not mince his words. According to Madison, Josh always lies and acts selfishly. Madison doesn’t even like the sound of Josh’s voice.

“One thing for sure when it comes to Josh A, you know he is always lying and acting selfishly, so with one style of negotiating it makes it pretty predictable what his next B.S. move will be. That is both the best and worst part about negotiating with Josh A, other than having to listen to his voice.”

Viewers who didn’t watch the show when Madison Hildebrand was a starring cast member on it were given a hint that he has a checkered history with Josh Altman when his byline for the scene stated, “Not Josh’s Bestie.” Josh explained in an interview that he and Madison don’t have a good history. A flashback shows Heather, after having not seen Madison for awhile, telling Madison that they haven’t seen one another since he fired her for dating Josh. “Oh is that the story?” countered Madison. In his interview, Josh continued to explain that after Madison fired Heather, he didn’t pay her the share of commissions that she was owed for properties that they sold together.

As Madison and his client explores the property, Madison tells his client that Josh is “full of crap.” During their negotiation meeting, Josh told Madison that if Heather knew that he was going to show up, she would’ve wanted him to say hi. Madison responds that he doubts that Heather would have run up to give him a hug, but to say hi back to her. Josh then thanks Madison because if it wasn’t for him “ripping her off,” he wouldn’t have met his fiancée.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Josh said in September, during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session, that Madison is “just annoying.”

It’s safe to presume that Madison won’t be a guest at Josh Altman and Heather Bilyeu’s upcoming wedding. In October, the two, who canceled a previous wedding, announced that they are getting married on April 2, 2016, in Aspen, Colorado. They told Us Weekly that the wedding will be small, with only 90 guests.

Madison Hildebrand was a starring cast member on the show from the first through sixth season. In June, 2014, he announced that he was leaving Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles to focus on other opportunities. He has returned to the show this season for a few guest appearances.
