NFL Picks Week 9: Experts Pick Philadelphia Eagles Over Dallas Cowboys

NFL picks for Week 9 have most CBS experts picking against the Dallas Cowboys. The Week 9 NFL picks for the Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys game are actually unanimous in this big NFC East game. The analysts at CBS Sports have picked the Eagles to win the road game. If the prediction turns out to be correct, the Cowboys would drop to 2-6 in the NFL standings and likely be eliminated from postseason contention.

The New York Giants currently hold first place in the NFC East with a 4-4 record, showing just how wide-open the division has become. In the Week 9 NFL schedule, the Giants will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, November 8. The game will take place earlier in the day, with the Eagles vs. Cowboys game set for primetime on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Giants have been unanimously picked to beat the Buccaneers, despite the game taking place on the road.

There are actually a lot of unanimous selections in the Week 9 NFL picks. The analysts at CBS Sports have agreed that there are going to be some very one-sided games this week. Those unanimous picks include the Cincinnati Bengals over the Cleveland Browns, the New Orleans Saints over the Tennessee Titans, the New England Patriots over the Washington Redskins, the Green Bay Packers over the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons over the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos over the Indianapolis Colts, and the San Diego Chargers over the Chicago Bears.

In fact, there are only three Week 9 games where the analysts aren’t in unanimous agreement. In those split-decision games, they have predicted the Buffalo Bills will beat the Miami Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers will beat the Oakland Raiders, and the St. Louis Rams will beat the Minnesota Vikings. The Rams vs. Vikings game is interesting because the 5-2 Vikings get to host it on Sunday. The team is still picked to lose, despite being on a nice three-game winning streak. That’s a lot of respect getting shown to a Rams team trying to secure a wild card spot in the NFC.

The Thursday night game is on November 5, with the Week 9 NFL picks squarely in favor of the Bengals beating the Browns. The Bengals come into this game with a 7-0 record and get to play against the 2-6 Browns and possibly a backup quarterback. It seems like a really one-sided game, but it’s also the sort of “trap game” that undefeated teams have trouble with. The Bengals would certainly like to keep pace with the other potential undefeated teams in Week 10. The broadcasters will certainly being up that Cleveland beat Cincinnati just last November in a 24-3 blowout.

If the Week 9 NFL picks from the CBS Sports experts turn out to be correct, the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots will each have 8-0 records by the end of the weekend. They have the Green Bay Packers knocking off the Carolina Panthers and keeping Cam Newton from improving to 8-0 on the season. That could be a really exciting game on the schedule and it takes place at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

There are six teams with byes this week, negatively affecting quite a few fantasy football leagues. The teams with a week off are the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks. It’s the first time this season that more than four teams have enjoyed a bye on the same week.

The San Diego Chargers (2-6) are the worst team to be unanimously picked to win this week. It shows the low regard that many analysts have for the Chicago Bears (2-5), even though the team still has some big weapons on offense. Some of the Week 9 NFL picks could shift as further injury reports come out this week, and that game might just be one that sees some analysts change their predictions.
