Sofia Vergara Had Plenty To Say About Reese Witherspoon At This Year’s American Cinematheque Awards

Sofia Vergara had quite a bit to say about fellow actress, Reese Witherspoon, on Friday night; but, then again, so did most who attended the 29th American Cinematheque Awards.

The American Cinematheque Awards is an annual event that honors one member of the entertainment industry, who has not only been fully committed to their work, but who has also made a significant contribution to the art of motion pictures. In the 29 years that the ceremony has been held, there have been quite a few big names to be honored with the award, including Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Steven Spielberg, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts and now Reese Witherspoon.

This year, Reese Witherspoon was given the honor of being awarded with the American Cinematheque Award, and during Friday’s celebration, good friend Sofia Vergara had plenty to say about her Hot Pursuit costar.

“This multi-talented, beautiful woman, with her little boy police uniform, became the only girl that I have ever made out with [in the movie]. I French-kissed Reesey Witherspoon. She has the best skin and the biggest butt of any white woman in Hollywood, and the most generous heart. You know it’s true, you said it to me. Reesey, I’m glad to be here as a fan and a friend. You deserve the world, all the happiness, all the blessings, all the Spanish lessons that you can take, and all the awards and praise for your success and leadership in this industry.”

According to Glamour, Sofia Vergara wasn’t the only big name on the list of guests to show their support for Reese on Friday night. Some other A-list ladies showed up to give their support for Witherspoon, including Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson and Jennifer Aniston.

While Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara’s movie Hot Pursuit received quite a range of mixed reviews, it seems as if the two leading ladies had quite the time making the movie together. While Vergara had plenty to say about her love for Reese Witherspoon, in an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Witherspoon reportedly stated that she had a terrific time working with Sofia.

“I met her at a hotel. She came in the door, and every man in the lobby literally turned their heads. I’ve never seen anything like it,” revealed Witherspoon. “I think it’s great that Sofia has this sense of humor about herself. She doesn’t take herself so seriously.”

Witherspoon went on to state that she takes herself very seriously as an actor. Of course, Vergara fired back with a comment that after viewers watch Hot Pursuit, all her hard work to be portrayed as a serious actor will have gone out the window, as the pair can be seen in quite a few not-so-serious moments throughout the movie.

Of course, Hot Pursuit with Sofia Vergara isn’t the only less-than-serious movie that Reese Witherspoon has ever worked on. Just take the many adventures of Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde franchise as an example. Still, her more light-hearted work doesn’t mean her other serious roles will be forgotten.

While Reese Witherspoon is known for her more serious roles in the movie industry as of late, Sofia Vergara is known for her humor. She is most known for her role as Gloria on the hit comedy series, Modern Family. Vergara has also shown up in quite a few other guest roles in comedy shows such as Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and The Simpsons. She has also had roles in popular movies such as The Smurfs and Happy Feet 2.

While Sofia Vergara had quite a bit to say about her friend, Reese Witherspoon, during the American Cinematheque Awards, it was all good things and very clear that Vergara has a lot of love for her good friend.
