Halloween Kardashian Style: Karla Kardashian Joins The Family While Caitlyn Jenner Becomes A New Costume Trend

Halloween is a fun time to dress up and pretend to be someone or something you’ve only dreamed of being. This year, apparently, Cinderella is out and Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashian sisters are in, at least for the more mature party goers.

True to form, Ellen DeGeneres delighted with a hilarious costume designed to please. It was hugely successful. Rather than simply transforming herself into another celebrity, as she has in the past with stars such as Sofia Vergara, Nicki Minaj, and George and Amal Clooney, Ellen became a new person altogether, inspired by the Kardashians.

Meet Karla Kardashian, the youngest of the Kardashian clan. People magazine reports that Karla Kardashian appeared in “giant prosthetic breasts,” a zebra print blouse that revealed a large portion of her fake cleavage, and stir-up leggings pulled over running shoes. The talk show host, and newest Kardashian member, wore oversized glasses, and blingy jewelry at her neck and fingers.

“I’m the lesser known Kardashian sister, my name is Karla Kardashian with a K, we’re known for our double K’s these are double Ks too by the way.”

“Since I’m the younger sister I get all the hand me downs so these are Kim’s Shape Ups I’m wearing, this is Khloe’s old blouse, and the booty is all mine!

“I’m a big part of the family, but for some reason I’m always cut out of the show. I understand because they only have 12 reality shows that are on TV 80 hours a week but they didn’t have room for me.”

Speaking of the Kardashian Klan, Caitlyn Jenner has been the object of a popular trend of Halloween costumes as well. According to Forbes, when Spirit, the Halloween super store, began carrying the Kardashian dad’s costume, they were highly criticized. Spirit released a statement calling Jenner “the most important real-life superhero of the year.” Rather than making fun at her expense, the store claims their intentions are only honorable in carrying the costume, and they refused to remove the merchandise from the shelf. “Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her.”

It appears they made the right decision. The costume is one of the four bestselling of the year, along with Harley Quinn, Twisted Clown, and a range of items from Day of the Dead. Retailing at $49.99, the Caitlyn Jenner outfit is comprised of a corset and wig reminiscent of the Vanity Fair cover where Jenner made her debut. In a related report by the Inquisitr, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality TV star revealed she does not take issue with her popularity for this holiday, and actually finds the costume quite amusing.

“I’m in on the joke. No, I don’t think it’s offensive at all. I know the community does, and they’ve gotten a lot of criticism for doing it. I think it’s great.”

Keeping Up With the Kardashians has catapulted this family into celebrity status, so it’s no surprise that spoofs like Karla Kardashian and the Jenner costumes have appeared. Despite controversy, the Kardashian family seems to take them in the spirit they were intended: a bit of Halloween fun.
