First Gwyneth Paltrow and now Cameron Diaz is taking her first shot at being a published author. The  39-year-old , who’s most known for her sex appeal and goofy sensibilities will be penning a book about the importance of nutrition and staying healthy for young women.

The actress said this was all inspiration taken from her friend Gwyneth Paltrow’s weekly lifestyle journal on Goop!, which includes health tips, recipes and fashion advice.  A source close to the project said, “Cameron has become very close to Gwyneth and it’s been very interesting for her to see what Gwyneth is doing with Goop!.”

This has been something that Cameron has been thinking about following her father Emilio Diaz’s passing from pneumonia in 2008. The book is to said to be more of a lifestyle guide and not a diet bible, with tips from the starlet’s friends like Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez, and Gwyneth herself. ‘This book isn’t about her. And it’s not a diet of any kind. Of course, it’s her own journey that has helped her realize what’s important, but she wants the book to appeal to everyone, and not just be about her own food choices,” said another source close to Cameron.

The source went on to further explain the inspiration behind the book saying, “She wants to use her celebrity to make a difference. She knows she is a role model to girls and she really wants to use that position to do good.”
