NFL Expert Picks Week 8: Updated ESPN Picks Favor Bengals Over Steelers Now

NFL expert picks for week 8 have been updated by the ESPN analysts. One of the week 8 NFL expert picks leans in favor of the Cincinnati Bengals over the Pittsburgh Steelers now. ESPN releases weekly predictions from experts with the network, and the updated picks for the week have been submitted. Thirteen analysts have predicted how the 14 games on the NFL schedule will turn out.

In the first release of these week 8 NFL expert picks, the ESPN analysts had actually favored the Steelers to knock off the Bengals. The return of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger seemed to have spurred a lot of confidence in the football analysts. Now the predictions have shifted a bit, though, with eight of the experts feeling that the Bengals will remain undefeated on the season. In the selections from fans, the Bengals have also been selected as the favorite.

In the Thursday night game from October 29, all the analysts picked in favor of the New England Patriots winning. That game turned out to be very one-sided, with the Patriots winning 36-7 to move to 7-0 on the season. There are several other games where the ESPN experts have unanimously selected one team over the other. They are the Atlanta Falcons beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals beating the Cleveland Browns, the St. Louis Rams beating the San Francisco 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks beating the Dallas Cowboys, and the Carolina Panthers beating the Indianapolis Colts.

That Carolina vs. Indianapolis game is on Monday, November 2, with all 13 analysts picking in favor of the Panthers. That would move the team to 7-0 on the season, possibly making them one of four undefeated teams in week 8. That is something that has never happened in NFL history. The week 8 NFL expert picks also have the Green Bay Packers winning again, though the game comes against a very tough Denver Broncos team.

Green Bay vs. Denver is the Sunday night game on November 1. The Broncos host the Packers at 5:30 p.m. PT and it is a battle of unbeaten teams. Five of the 13 analysts favor the Broncos in this game, with the other eight predicting Aaron Rodgers will lead the Packers to a 7-0 start. It will also help him keep pace with what Tom Brady has done for the Patriots this season. Rodgers and Brady are easily the favorites to win the NFL MVP Award again.

As for the rest of the games in the week 8 NFL expert picks, the ESPN analysts predict the Kansas City Chiefs will beat the Detroit Lions, the New Orleans Saints will beat the New York Giants, the Minnesota Vikings will beat the Chicago Bears, the Baltimore Ravens will beat the San Diego Chargers, the Houston Texans will beat the Tennessee Titans, and the New York Jets will beat the Oakland Raiders. In the Jets vs. Raiders game, the analysts are split 8-5 in favor of New York.

There is a lot on the line during week 8 action, with the Seattle Seahawks trying to get back to .500 by beating the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants trying to hold on to first place in the NFC East. The ESPN experts predict the Giants will lose, though, which could drop them to 4-4 and still keep the team in first place. That would make a big week for the Cowboys to pull off an upset of the Seahawks.

The teams with week 8 byes are the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, and Jacksonville Jaguars. There is also another London game within the week 8 NFL expert picks, with the Kansas City Chiefs playing the Detroit Lions at 6:30 p.m. PT on November 1. Only Mike Golic feels that the Lions can win that game.
