Katie Holmes to Speak Out About Scientology For First Time on ’20/20′
Katie Holmes is actually going to speak out about Scientology for the very first time, tonight, on 20/20. Us Magazine shares the news that since her divorce from Tom Cruise, Holmes is finally going to be sharing her side of the story. When the two split, Tom and Katie were very quiet about what happened and never shared if Scientology could have been part of falling out in their relationship. Holmes will be talking about Leah Remini on this special, in which Leah will talk about leaving Scientology and how it has affected her life. Katie has never spoken out about Leah in the press before. This show will not focus on Holmes, but it will be interesting to see what she has to say after all these years.
Katie Holmes actually divorced Tom Cruise back in 2012 after being married to him for six years. Cruise did admit back in 2013 that reports that Katie left him “to protect Suri from Scientology” were true. Cruise did say that this was “one of the assertions, yes.” Suri Cruise is the only child that Katie Holmes and Cruise had together during their marriage.

Leah has revealed that she was once written up for telling Cruise and Holmes to get a room after seeing him kiss Katie in a very assertive way. Us Magazine shared that Leah was invited over to the home of Tom Cruise and when she showed up Katie Holmes was there, as well. Katie was still just dating Tom at the time. Leah was allegedly told that Tom wanted him to teach her how to salsa dance. Two people that were higher ranking in Scientology were there, as well. People were supposedly written up all the time for doing things that would be considered critical to the church. Leah Remini even teased that she used to write her husband up all the time for doing things wrong.
Leah Remini left the church after being in it for 30 years. Katie Holmes doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Scientology since her big split from Tom Cruise. The church did recently give a statement about Leah leaving.
“Given Leah Remini’s insatiable desire for attention, it comes as no surprise that for two years she has been incapable of moving on with her life. And she remains obsessed with shamelessly exploiting her former religion in a pathetic attempt to get publicity.”
At this time, there is very little information out about Katie Holmes speaking tonight. What is known is that Katie will be on the show and will, for sure, speak out about Leah. They have not shared how much she will have to say or how long they will talk to her. The fact that Katie Holmes is saying anything that has to do with Scientology is shocking. Her ex, Tom Cruise, can’t be very happy that she is going to speak out considering his close ties to this church. Katie Holmes may have to answer to him, considering they have a child together, but the two don’t really seem to be part of each other’s lives anymore. They are never spotted together in public.
