Olivia Wilde Responds To Donald ‘Trump Lovers’ By Bashing His Xenophobia & Shares Her Own Halloween Superhero

Olivia Wilde is responding to Donald Trump as well as the presidential hopeful’s followers and fans via interviews and social media. And while Olivia isn’t backing down in her views, Wilde also isn’t wild about sacrificing the time needed for her career and family to spend hours responding to all the backlash she received from stating her stance on the political candidates, reported E! News.

As to precisely what perturbs Olivia about Donald, Wilde is irate about the comments Trump has made regarding immigrants, such as the infamous wall that he plans to erect. The actress is taking getting bashed by Trump lovers quite calmly while not backing down about what she sees as Donald’s xenophobia.

“Ok Trump-lovers, I will do as you suggest and go back to where I came from… which happens to be NYC so I’m just gonna chill. Thanks!” tweeted Olivia.

Wilde also discussed her views on politics during the debut of Ellis. The new Robert DeNiro movie focuses on Ellis Island, a symbol of immigration and America.

“It made me think of the current refugee crisis. [America] was a beacon of hope for so many… yet some in this country have developed this xenophobia that totally conflicts with what we’re based on,” shared Olivia.

Wilde expressed concern that Trump is spreading a negative message during his campaign.

“The fact that we can have someone running for president who openly projects that xenophobia is really sickening, particularly when you look at a film like this and remember our roots,” added Wilde.

While Olivia is challenging Donald, President Barack Obama has expressed his view that there are those in the Republican party who share Trump’s stance.

“I think that he is tapped into something that exists in the Republican Party that’s real. I think there is genuine anti-immigrant sentiment in the large portion of at least Republican primary voters,” noted Obama.

Wilde is firmly in support of Hillary Clinton, repeatedly backing the Democratic presidential candidate, in contrast to her views on Trump, reported People.

Summing up her attitude toward Donald’s immigration views as “really sickening,” Olivia is continuing her fearless approach to revealing her politics. Wilde also used social media as a platform to defend Clinton.

“[The email controversy is] as scandalous as my grandmother’s recipe for tater-tots,” scoffed Olivia.

Wilde shared a photo of Clinton and the actress following her role in introducing Hillary at a campaign gala. Olivia also attacked those who were criticizing Hillary because of her gender instead of looking at her accomplishments and platform.

“It’s pure sexism,” declared Wilde. “This bulls— about her not seeming ‘warm’ enough is pure misogyny. It’s ridiculous. I think she’s one of the loveliest, most personable politicians I’ve ever met – much warmer than other politicians, in fact. That’s pure sexism.”

But amidst all the political ruckus, Olivia is taking time out to celebrate Halloween, reported Us Weekly.

In a Throwback Thursday photo, Wilde showed off her superhero attitude in the form of a Wonder Woman costume.

“#tbt Halloween circa 1990,” wrote the 31-year-old actress. “Zombie/Wonder Woman? Unclear.”

Olivia wears what appears to be a Wonder Woman blouse topping blue pants and a princess warrior mask.

Wilde and her beau Jason Sudeikis have one son, Otis, who is 18-months-old. Olivia admitted that she’s become her son’s biggest fan.

“He’s very funny. He likes to tell jokes,” revealed Wilde. “I come home from work and put my phone away and just be there with him. And I think it’s important for us to remember that. It’s easy to get distracted and every second with them when they’re young should be really valued.”
