Adele’s ‘Hello’ Moves Celebs Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Sam Smith, Kate Hudson, And Others


It seems celebs are even bigger Adele fan girls and boys than normal people.

The whole world fell on their knees when Adele’s newest hit song “Hello” released last week. “Hello” not only broke millions of hearts, but it also broke YouTube records, surpassing Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift’s feats.

At the top of our list are the celebs who really broke down quite literally over Adele’s “Hello.” Kate Hudson and Katy Perry went to their respective social media pages to show how heartbroken they were rendered by “Hello.” Katy Perry went to her Twitter page and posted a photo of her pillow tainted with her tears. Kate Hudson posted on her Instagram page a photo of herself crying her eyes out after listening to “Hello.”

Singers Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, and Kelly Clarkson also didn’t fall short of praising Adele for a job well done with “Hello.” Singer Kelly Clarkson went to Twitter to gush about Adele’s new single and expressed excitement for the release of Adele’s new album. Sam Smith posted a screengrab from “Hello’s” music video on Instagram and admits to fangirling over Adele. In response to Sam Smith’s post, a lot of fans are already clamoring for a collaboration between Sam Smith and Adele. To think that these two swooners are no newbies to heartbreaking singles, it would actually be an exciting project to anticipate. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga shares a selfie of herself and Adele on Twitter, captured on the night she first played “Hello” for her.

More celebrities are going to Twitter to declare their love and support for Adele and “Hello.” Ellen DeGeneres admits to listening to “Hello” for breakfast. Band One Republic quips that Adele might have crashed YouTube with the outstanding success of “Hello,” which was reported to be played 27 million times a day. Zendaya also goes offers her kudos to Adele, while Emma Watson admits to playing “Hello” at least 30 times already. Talk about obsessed!

And the more extreme reactions on Adele’s “Hello” go to Britney Spears and Rick Ross. In an exclusive interview with i-D, Adele admits that one of the things she wants to do this year is to go see Britney Spears in her residency in Las Vegas. Well, Britney Spears was quick to respond and posted on Twitter her proposal for Adele: Two tickets to her show for two tickets to Adele’s. A pretty good deal to us!

Rick Ross, on the other hand, went out of his way to create a remix of Adele’s “Hello,” adding some slow raps in between Adele’s heartbreaking solos. Listen to his remix below.

Adele is coming out with her newest album, 25, on November 20, and she shares on her official website what turning 25 has been all about for her.

“My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did… 25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”
