Lindsay Lohan Lied To Cops After Accident, States She Wasn’t Driving [Report]

Lindsay Lohan could be in more trouble with law enforcement if a claim that she lied to the cops at the hospital after last week’s accident is true.

The Mean Girls star was in an accident on June 8th, where she wrecked a rented Porsche into the back of a semi truck, causing $80,000 worth of damage to the sports car. While both she and her assistant, Gavin, who was with her are okay, The Huffington Post reports that she may have lied to the cops about who was driving.

According to TMZ, the troubled actress told police that her assistant was driving the car at the time of the accident. It seems that the two did not talk beforehand about what to tell cops, because that same assistant has a different story, having told police later that the actress was really the one driving.

The police are allegedly filing a report about Lohan’s lie, because it is (as most people already know) against the law to lie to the police. This small mishap could even result in a probation violation for the struggling actress, resulting in more time behind bars.

TMZ reports that several eyewitnesses at the scene stated that both Lindsay Lohan and her assistant exited the wrecked Porsche from the passenger’s side, meaning that the actress would have climbed over the center console. Apparently, Lohan used this opportunity to concoct the lie, which she may have though would keep her out of trouble with the law.

For those of you following the latest Lindsay Lohan accident saga, was there ever any doubt that Lohan was the driver of the wrecked Porsche?
