Why Is Ben Affleck So Angry In ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’? — Will He Make A Cameo In The Wonder Woman Movie?

With all the leaks and rumors that have surfaced concerning the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, few details have been released as to why Batman (Ben Affleck) is so angry with Superman (Henry Cavill). Luckily, both Cavill and Affleck recently discussed the dynamics between their characters in the highly anticipated film.

According to the Wrap, Cavill stated that Batman is angry with Superman over the destruction that occurred at the end of Man of Steel.

“What happens there is one of Bruce’s buildings gets destroyed and he’s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can’t,” Cavill explained in the interview. “So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?”

At the same time, Affleck added that Batman’s attitude towards Superman stems from a deep-seated rage that continues to eat at him until it affects the people closest to him.

“He’s found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman,” Affleck revealed to the outlet. “So it’s how he got there, and what that’s done to him, and what that’s done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It’s something that’s interesting and new.”

Meanwhile, with all the rage this version of Batman is experiencing, it also marks the first time Affleck will appear in the iconic role. In fact, Ben Affleck is expected to continue on with the role and star in a number of DC Comics-related films. With that in mind, Movie Web is reporting that Warner Bros. is planning to expand its DC Comics Universe with even more films, including Justice League Part 1, Justice League Part 2, and Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot.

According to JoBlo Wonder Woman centers on events that occur before that of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie will follow the superhero as she battles Ares and her winged monsters. The film is also set to star Chris Pine as her romance, Steve Trevor.

Additionally, Affleck is expected to make a small cameo at the end of the movie, which sets Wonder Woman up for her appearance in Batman v Superman. Although Batman will make an appearance in Wonder Woman, he will stay out of the action, and his involvement in the film is primarily meant to tie to the two movies together in a similar manner in which Marvel has tied its films together with minor cameos.

Just how big a role Batman will play in the movie is yet to be seen. That being said, are fans looking forward to seeing the two superheroes together?

At this point, it doesn’t seem as though many fans are happy about Batman’s appearance in Wonder Woman. In fact, some fans have taken to social media to express their disapproval of Affleck’s involvement in the movie.

“I hope Batman doesn’t appear in the Wonder Woman film. I don’t think other JL members should appear in other solo movies but their own,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

However, regardless of the sentiments expressed by many fans, it has yet to be officially announced if Affleck will be appearing as Batman in the movie. With Warner Bros. set to expand the DC Comics Universe, it does seem likely that Wonder Woman will be tied to the other films in some manner.

Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be released in theaters on March 25, 2016. An official release date for Wonder Woman has yet to be announced.
