‘Days Of Our Lives’ Star Casey Moss Arrested In Arizona

Days of Our Lives star Casey Moss, who plays JJ Deveraux on the NBC soap, has been arrested. The actor was taken into police custody in Arizona this week after having a little too much to drink and getting violent after the cast appeared at an event to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary.

According to We Love Soaps, many Days of Our Lives cast members gathered in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday to participate in the Days of Our Lives: 50 Years book signing on Monday, including Casey Moss. However, before Moss could get to the book signing, he was arrested.

Officers were called to the W Hotel near Camelback and Scottsdale roads after midnight to deal with the 21-year-old actor. Scottsdale police reveal that Casey Moss was drunk and started an altercation with the bartender at the hotel’s bar when he was “cut off.” When the two began arguing, the Days of Our Lives star had to be restrained by a friend. However, Moss broke away and allegedly tried to punch the bartender, but missed with his swing.

Casey Moss also reportedly shoved another staff member at the hotel before being tackled by a bouncer. Casey was handcuffed and, when police escorted him out of the bar asking his name, he yelled, “I’m Casey Moss and I’m an actor on Days of Our Lives.”

The 21-year-old then began to struggle and pull away from police, and the officer reportedly had to take him to the ground to stop the struggle. Casey was taken to the Scottsdale jail and is now facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Casey Moss’ Days of Our Lives character, JJ Deveraux, is also no stranger to breaking the law. DOOL fans have watched JJ grow up and struggle with drug use as well as get a reputation for selling drugs. However, thanks to the good influences in his life such as his mother Jennifer Horton, sister Abigail Deveraux, former girlfriend Paige Larson, and friend/mentor Dr. Daniel Jonas, JJ straightened up and recently helped the Salem Police Department in a case against a drug dealer, which lead to one of Salem’s worst criminals, Clyde Weston, getting arrested and shipped to Florida.

Last week on the soap, JJ told police commissioner, Roman Brady, and his mother Jennifer and sister Abigail that he would like to consider leaving college and becoming a police officer, which Jen and Abby totally freaked out about, but will Casey Moss get the chance to complete his character’s arc?

It’s unclear about whether or not Casey Moss’ arrest will impact his job on Days of Our Lives. Casey and his character JJ Deveraux have become a favorite among fans, and since the soap is already losing so many characters, such as Clyde Weston, Ben Weston, Daniel Jonas, and Will Horton, and more it seems safe to say that fans would be upset about seeing another one of their favorites leave Salem, or be recast.

Hopefully, Casey Moss can get all of his legal issues under control and won’t have to serve any jail time. It’s possible that as a young man, barely legal to drink, he got a little out of control while trying to have a good time with friends. However, some fans are now worried that Moss could have a problem with alcohol, which in that case could spell big trouble for the actor and his role on DOOL. Casey has yet to make a public statement about his arrest, but fans are hoping for the best outcome of this situation for the young star.
