Timothy Bradley Broke His Foot During Manny Pacquiao Fight

Timothy Bradley may now hold the WBO welterweight title but his controversial win over Manny Pacquiao has also left him hurting, suffering from a fractured left foot and a beat up right foot.

The left foot fracture occurred during the second round of Saturday nights fight and shortly afterwords Bradley rolled his right ankle and it is now swollen.

While Bradley’s injuries were not enough to end the fight they did require him to use a wheelchair to attend a post-fight news conference.

According to Bradley he literally heard his left foot snap in the second round before injuring his right foot during the fifth round.

Despite his injuries Bradley managed to end Manny’s 7-year unbeaten streak, although his win came on controversial 115-113 scorecards despite Pacquiao landing 253 punches to Bradley’s 159. That scoring led boxing promoter Bob Arum who reps both men to proclaim:

“I’ve never been as ashamed of the sport of boxing as I am tonight.”

Bradley won five of the last six on two scorecards and four on the third.

Before the fight Timothy Bradley had promised his victory over Manny Pacquiao and apparently that meant he would do anything to win, even if it meant boxing on a broken ankle and a sprain.

With Manny Pacquioao landing more punches in 10 of 12 rounds its likely we will see a Bradley-Pacquioa rematch on November 10.

Do you think Pacquioao was robbed of his undefeated streak or did Timothy’s grit and determination eventually allow him to defeat the 7-year reigning world champion?
