Watch Dallas Cowboys Vs. New York Giants Live Online: Streaming Link For NFC East Rivalry Showdown

NFL football fans can watch the marquee matchup of the weekend live online as the Dallas Cowboys invade East Rutherford, New Jersey, trying to knock the New York Giants out of first place in the NFC East division, as the longtime rivals play their second game of the season after the Cowboys edged the Giants in the season opener back on September 13, 27-26.

Of course, in that game, the Cowboys had a healthy Tony Romo playing quarterback. But the next week, the star Dallas signal caller broke his left clavicle and has not played since, giving way to backup quarterback Brandon Weeden.

But after three starts in which Weeden threw only two touchdown passes total, and an October 11 start before the Cowboys’ bye week in which Weeden tossed for just 188 yards against the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, Dallas Coach Jason Garrett is ready to try something new.

On September 22, just two days after Romo went down, the Dallas traded for 33-year-old Buffalo Bills backup Matt Cassel and on Sunday, the former Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback will get his first chance to turn around the fortunes of the 2-3 Cowboys — though he has not thrown a pass in a National Football League game since September 21, 2014, when he was still quarterbacking the Minnesota Vikings.

Cassel served as backup to Tom Brady in New England from 2005 to 2007 after the Patriots selected him out of the University of Southern California in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL draft. But in 2008, after Brady suffered a torn ACL in the first game of the season, Cassel took over the starter’s job and led the team to an 11-win season, though the Patriots missed out on the playoffs on tiebreakers.

Cassel was then traded by the Patriots to the Kansas City Chiefs, spending four seasons there and making the Pro Bowl in 2010.

For the Giants, veteran quarterback Eli Manning will have his hands full contending with a full-strength Cowboys pass rush, with both Greg Hardy and 2015 second-round draft pick Randy Gregory finally in the lineup together. Hardy came back from a four-game suspension for domestic violence on October 11 against the Patriots, and Gregory — an All-Big Ten defensive end at Nebraska — injured his ankle in the same season opener that saw star wide receiver Dez Bryant injured as well.

Can the new Dallas Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel lead his team to their second victory over the division leading Giants? Or will New York Giants veteran signal caller find a way to evade the intimidating Dallas pass rush and cement the Giants hold on first place in the NFC East?
