Man With HIV Admits To Raping Child To Produce Pornography
A Pennsylvania man with HIV has admitted to raping a 6-year-old boy for the purpose of creating child pornography. The Dreamin’ Demon reports that 61-year-old Ira Task was arrested and charged with a multitude of crimes associated with his behaviors, and the details surrounding this case are just horrifying. This story also demonstrates the hard work of investigators who worked tirelessly to bring justice to a 6-year-old victim of sexual abuse.
Penn Live reports that 61-year-old Task was charged on Wednesday with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, conspiracy, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, criminal solicitation, filming sex acts with a child, disseminating photos of sex acts with a child, child pornography, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility. This collection of charges could assure that Task spends the rest of his life behind bars in a Pennsylvania prison. However, he has not been given any charges associated with knowingly engaging in sexual behavior while being infected with HIV.
Authorities became aware of Task’s behavior after they arrested a 19-year-old man on similar charges. Feds alerted police in North Middleton Township to the behavior of 19-year-old William C. Byers Augusta, who had allegedly streamed the rape of the same 6-year-old male victim on a popular video-conferencing website. The incident, which took place on July 22, became part of an investigation which led to the revelation that the child was being victimized by more than just the 19-year-old man. In fact, video evidence indicated that multiple men had participated in the filmed rape of this child, who was shown to be drugged in at least one video.
Ira Task was tracked down through the discovery of a video, which was shot from the POV of William C. Byers Augusta. Even though the video was shot with the faces of the other men cropped from view, several identifying features seemed to prove that Task was indeed one of the men who had participated in the rape of the unidentified 6-year-old boy. Some of those features included a gold ring on his finger, several moles on his lower body, and the features of his penis. When he was confronted by investigators, Ira Task admitted to his participation in the repeated sexual abuse of the child. He also told authorities that he had been HIV positive since the mid-1990s. He is expected to appear in court for the first time on November 2. It should be noted that the identities of other men in the videos have not yet been revealed through the media at this time.
The child victim in this case has also told authorities that he had been raped by the 19-year-old man in this case, but other details surrounding the child’s statements have not yet been published. Furthermore, it’s not entirely known in the public at this time what kind of relation is shared between the 6-year-old victim and the men charged with sexually abusing him. One thing is for certain, however, and that’s that the child has a long road of recovery ahead of him after enduring long-term sexual abuse by the hands of multiple men. He has not only been raped repeatedly, but the crimes he suffered have been exploited and shared on the internet with countless people who enjoy child pornography.
This is not the first time someone with HIV has been accused sexually abusing children. Back in 2013 a 46-year-old Florida man was arrested for the sexual battery of a 10-year-old boy, whom he also allegedly kidnapped. To make the situation even worse, 46-year-old Kelley Cooper was HIV positive, and he reportedly transmitted the potentially fatal virus to his 10-year-old victim. Authorities charged him with kidnapping, sexual battery on a child, lewd or lascivious molestation, and ultimately criminal transmission of HIV.
