Kylie Jenner’s Lips: ‘KUWTK’ Star Reveals ‘Weird’ New Lip Preference
Kylie Jenner’s ready for a change. This time, it’s not her hair she’d like to look different — it’s her lips.
On her app, Kylie reportedly said that she’s ready to move on from the plump-lip look. According to Hollywood Life, Jenner called her new thin-lipped obsession “weird.”
“You know what’s weird? I’ve been into small lips lately. Like, I want them to look small.”
There’s no denying that Kylie Jenner’s lips are a central part of her look. Kylie’s lips are so famous, in fact, that they inspired the Kylie Jenner lip challenge earlier this year.
The challenge saw teenagers sticking their lips inside shot glasses and sucking in an effort to get lips plump that look like Jenner’s. (Note, don’t attempt the challenge. Everyone from doctors to Jenner herself have advised against it. Find out more in the video below.)
And back in May, Jenner revealed on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she had used lip fillers to plump her now-seductive pout. Reportedly, the lip fillers were of the temporary variety, so Jenner could theoretically return to a thinner-lipped face in the future.
Needless to say, Kylie Jenner’s lips have received more than their fair share of press, and the lips are definitely part of Kylie’s signature look.

So what could make her want to change her look all of a sudden?
Jenner is famous for frequently changing her hairstyle, either dying her hair outrageous colors or through the use of wigs. In fact, on her website, Kylie recently wrote that changing her hairstyle gives her “confidence.”
“Constantly changing up my style makes me feel creative and it helps me with my confidence. If any of you are going through something in your life and you want a change, experiment with your hair—it’s so much fun and you’ll feel totally liberated. It just makes me feel so good about myself. In the end, always own your own style and your own judgment and people will support you.”
Could it be that changing her lips would give Kylie the same type of confidence? According to Hollywood Life, Kylie originally got the lip fillers because her natural lips were an “insecurity” of hers.
Perhaps Kylie wants her lips to be thin because she enjoys experimenting with and changing her style. Or perhaps she simply wants them to look different because it’s the opposite of what everyone would expect.

Regardless of why Kylie may want to change her look, one thing is certain: The Kardashian family has had a tough week, and if Kylie wanted a change to boost her confidence, most everyone would likely understand. The Kylie Jenner lip revelation comes at a time when Jenner and her family are dealing with devastating news of Lamar Odom’s alleged overdose.
Odom, who was found unconscious in a Las Vegas-area brothel, has spent the past week in the hospital. Reports indicate that Odom has had several organs fail and faces a long road to recovery ahead. Odom is the estranged husband of Kylie Jenner’s older sister, Khloé Kardashian, and many of the Kardashian-Jenner family members have spent time with Odom as he recovers.
