Jill & Jessa Duggar Share Lives After Josh Duggar Scandals In New TV Specials: Jessa Talks About Devastating Molestation

Since TLC pulled 19 Kids And Counting from the air after the news broke that Josh Duggar had molested several underage girls, the Duggar family has maintained a public presence through social media as well as websites. Two of the sisters molested by the 19 Kids clan’s oldest son have been particularly popular. Now those sisters, Jill Duggar, married to Derick Dillard with one son, and Jessa Duggar, wed to Ben Seewald and pregnant with her own first child, are getting their own TLC specials, reported CBS News.

A preview of Counting On showed the two sisters discussing their brother’s confessions about molestation, cheating on his wife, and porn addiction.

“The whole world was shocked. We were devastated,” revealed Jessa.

Jessa and her husband Ben will be featured in the special, which will show them getting ready to welcome their first child. In addition, Derick Dillard and Jill will be shown with their little boy.

Talking about how she felt when she discovered that the whole world knew about the family’s molestation scandal, Jessa admits that she was extremely upset, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to the two sisters who will be featured in Jill and Jessa: Counting On, Josh molested three other underage girls.

“Here I am, most joyful time of my life, newly married, baby on the way, and then…the whole world was shocked. … You have to wonder, like ‘How did this happen?’ ” recalled Jessa when she learned that the family’s secret had become public knowledge.

TLC currently is planning to air Counting On in three parts starting in December. It will focus on the sisters seeking to put the past behind them after their brother’s scandal, including the Dillards’ mission trip and the pregnancy excitement for Jessa and her husband.

Both young women and their mother recently appeared in TLC’s Breaking the Silence. Although it covered sexual abuse, Josh’s name was not mentioned.

Although Jessa and her sister primarily discussed the molestation scandal in the preview of Counting On, Josh also earned negative publicity for his link to Ashley Madison, reported Us Weekly. It’s not yet known in what detail the subsequent scandals will be covered in the TLC specials.

Jessa and Jill’s brother, who is the father of four, allegedly had two Ashley Madison subscriptions, and desired to experiment with “sex toys” and “one-night stands.”

“I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” admitted Josh in his statement on the subject.

For Jessa, life since those revelations of molestation, infidelity and porn addiction has been a mixture of joy over looking forward to her first baby with husband Ben and recovering from the scandals that impacted the entire family. But has Jessa’s reputation been tainted by those scandals?

With her baby due on November 1, Jessa has been updating her fans about the progress of her pregnancy, and sometimes getting slammed instead of saluted for her activities, reported Hollywood Gossip.

“My sweet mother-in-law treated me to a pumpkin spice drink from #MamaCarmens, and Sierra insisted that I get something cheery painted on my toes in prep for labor! Y’all are spoiling me!” wrote Jessa recently.

But slams ranged from scolding Jessa for nail polish to dissing her for drinking caffeine.

“Omg! When you paint your nails! You breathe in FUMES!! Those fumes are not good!” read one such post.

Others criticized her pumpkin spice drink, although Jessa didn’t mention whether it was coffee.

In addition, Jessa and Ben had requested donations and presents before their first child was born, and also were slammed for that comment. The couple subsequently took off the requests.

As the Inquisitr reported, Jessa also was attacked by some followers by posting so many selfies of her baby bump, with some contending that she was vain for her repeated sharing of her pregnancy poses.
