WWE News: Bull Dempsey Calls Out Gabe Sapolsky And WWE NXT Twitter After Article On Evolve Stars

The men and women at WWE NXT deserve to be proud of their accomplishments. With the help of Triple H, Dusty Rhodes, and many other executives, WWE NXT is a training facility to the main roster. WWE NXT is a place where Independent wrestlers can hone their craft for the main roster. WWE NXT is also a venue where veterans come in and work with the young guys. Samoa Joe, James Storm, and Rhyno are good examples of that.

However, nobody, not even Triple H, could’ve predicted how impactful WWE NXT has become. During WrestleMania 31 weekend, they sold out their event at San Jose State University in two hours. The venue they were in houses 4,500 fans. At NXT Takeover Brooklyn, WWE NXT was able to sell out the Barclays Center. The Brooklyn Nets’ home seats a comfortable 17,000 fans. Triple H’s creation sold that out.

Stars like Neville, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Kevin Owens, the Ascension, and the Lucha Dragons made it possible for NXT to continue growing. That’s only in the men’s division. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Paige, Sasha Banks, and Bayley created the revolution of women’s wrestling that is seen today. They made it possible for WWE NXT to get stars like Nia Jax and Asuka. It’s a never-ending pool of talent and excitement.

The WWE is changing, and it’s starting with dominating the Independent scene. Just recently, they made a partnership with Evolve. Gabe Sapolsky, a Paul Heyman apprentice, is working with WWE on the relationship and published an article on the top-5 Evolve wrestlers to be the next breakout star in WWE NXT. Bull Dempsey, a NXT veteran, took offense to that tweet and responded.

Tyson Kidd’s tweet was simply a confirmation that Dempsey made a great point in his analysis of Sapolsky’s thoughts. The people he featured in his tweet are Hugo Knox, Riddick Moss, Chad Gable, Billie Kay, Nia Jax, and Alexa Bliss. Dempsey believes they are the future WWE NXT. Looking at each name, four of them have already made an impact on the roster.

Jax debuted last week at WWE NXT. She won a squash match against a newcomer. During the opening segment, Bliss came out with Blake and Murphy to interrupt Bayley’s promo. It appears the two are entering a feud for the NXT Women’s championship. Hugo Knox and Riddick Moss continue to work NXT live events, and should debut on TV within the next few months.

Billie Kay was recently re-packaged and will presumably get more time as the weeks go by. She’s a great wrestler with a lot of potential. Until the WWE fans see her mic skills, her status on the roster will remain unknown. Lastly, Chad Gable is a fan-favorite and is someone that can main event shows every night of the week.

At NXT Takeover Respect, the fans sang Kurt Angle’s theme music to Gable’s name. The crowd is always rambunctious, but that chant took it to a new level. Will WWE NXT superstars get jealous of Evolve talent? The goal should be to generate competition among the brands, but not to create animosity. HHH and others are doing to this to enhance the talent pool and expand their options. HHH knows who will make it and won’t succeed. Nobody’s a guarantee, but he should have an idea. Evolve will only help the former-WWE champion formulate a plan.
