What’s better than being stuck on a boat for a week? Being stuck on a boat for a week with a whole bunch of screeching Twilight fans!

The week-long “Twilight Fans Cruise” is planned for August 2010- per the cruise’s official site, to give cash-strapped fangirls time to save their money in the current tight economy. The ship departs Seattle, heads up to Alaska and British Columbia and concludes in Seattle. A mere week devoted to sparkly, emasculated vampires not enough? You can spend an additional four days and three nights in scenic… Forks? Washington? Are they serious?

Cruise highlights include meeting Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), movie screenings, autograph signings and a charity auction. Another listed perk is a “Vendors Room” in the event you want to spend more on Twilight on top of a week long cruise and a four-day “motorcoach tour.”  And of course, dependent on anyone giving a frick about the vegetarian vampire craze a year from now.

Booking prices range from a mere $1,200 (cruise only, no Forks for you) to $3,500 for a “Deluxe Verandah Suite.”

A date to the prom still not included.

  1. This is a joke right? I mean an Alaska cruise would be kind of fun, but 4 days and 3 nights in Forks? Have you been there? it is in the middle of nowhere on the Olympic peninsula. how many people are going to want to spend 3 3/4 days and 3 nights watching the grass grow? After the first quarter of the first day there will be nothing else to see.

  2. sorry it's so long
