Cody Jackson: 20-Year-Old Rapes, Impregnates 13-Year-Old Girl, But There’s More To It

Cody Jackson of Norwood, Ohio, has definitely turned lots of heads due to reports detailing his recent arrest. According to the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old is facing a number of charges for the rape and pregnancy of a 13-year-old girl. However, that’s definitely not all, because there’s more to the story.

Reports have revealed that Jackson allegedly divulged a plan to abduct the girl after meeting her on Facebook. It all started back in February when he began contacting her on Facebook. After a short period of time, the two began conversing. Once the teen became comfortable enough to meet Jackson in person, he reportedly lured her back to his apartment.

According to the the Cincinnati Enquirer, FBI investigative reports have revealed exactly how Jackson meticulously devised a substantial plan to work in his favor. It has been reported that Jackson was actually out of jail on a $100,000 bond for a previous case involving the abduction of two other victims. So, the 13-year-old girl was actually his third victim.

Since he was electronically monitored at the time he began talking to the girl, he had to make special provisions to see her in person. He allegedly paid for taxis so she could be brought to his apartment, where the sexual misconduct is alleged to have taken place. This went on for approximately three weeks before Jackson reportedly became much more possessive.

In March, things took a turn for the worse. Their illicit relationship became a living nightmare, as Jackson allegedly refused to allow the girl to leave. For a total of four months, Jackson reportedly held the girl captive. The abuse began with verbal attacks that soon escalated to physical assault, reports Opposing Views.

In July, Jackson plead guilty to a charge of interference of custody in relation to the previous case. The additional abduction and kidnapping charges were dropped, which led to the removal of Jackson’s electronic monitoring device. After dodging the charges, Jackson fled the state the same day. When he fled, the girl was able to escape with the help of Jackson’s landlord. Although he was able to avoid being charged with abduction and kidnapping for the previous case, the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office is working to make sure that doesn’t happen a second time.

On October 8, Jackson was arrested after being spotted at a Greyhound bus station in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is now being charged with “coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, production of child pornography, rape and kidnapping,” according to New York Daily News.

“In addition to federal charges, Jackson is also facing four counts of rape, one count of kidnapping, four counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor and one count of interference with custody brought by the Norwood police and the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office,” according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Jackson is currently being extradited back to Ohio. His first court appearance has not yet been scheduled. According to Fox-19, Jackson’s former neighbors are completely shocked by the series of events that have been revealed in the FBI investigation. During a news interview, local resident Tabitha Royce shared her reaction to Jackson’s actions.

“If I would have known what was going on. I would have told on him,” said Royce. “I would have had him locked up myself, because if someone had did that to my kid. I don’t know what I would do.”

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, coercion and enticement to a minor in illegal sexual activity in the state of Ohio can lead to a minimum of 10 years behind bars whereas rape, unlawful sexual conduct, and the production of child pornography range from a 15- to 30-year sentence.
