NFL Expert Picks Week 6: Updated ESPN Picks Predict Eagles Over Giants

NFL expert picks for Week 6 have been updated by the ESPN analysts. One of the Week 6 NFL expert picks leans in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles beating the New York Giants. ESPN releases weekly predictions from experts with the network, and the updated picks for the week have been submitted. Thirteen analysts have predicted how the 14 games on the NFL schedule will turn out.

The Eagles vs. Giants game is on Monday, October 19, putting a good NFC East battle on primetime television. The Eagles (2-3) play host to the Giants (3-2), with first place in the division on the line. The Dallas Cowboys (2-3) and Washington Redskins (2-3) will also be watching this game closely, as it will have a big impact on the standings. With 13 analysts submitting predictions, the game has been picked 7-6 in favor of the Eagles, showing how close it could be on Monday.

As for the games on Sunday, October 18, there are a few that have been predicted unanimously. Within the Week 6 NFL expert picks, the ESPN analysts have the Denver Broncos beating the Cleveland Browns, the Green Bay Packers beating the San Diego Chargers and the New England Patriots beating the Indianapolis Colts. There are quite a few games where one or two analysts are going with an underdog team, possibly in order to catch up in the prediction standings.

Cam Newton Vs. Seattle Seahawks In Week 6

Keyshawn Johnson (51-26) and Mike Ditka (47-30) are the only analysts predicting the Carolina Panthers beat the Seattle Seahawks. With that game taking place in Seattle, it gives Russell Wilson the CenturyLink Field crowd to play with. Johnson is also the only analysts to predict that the Buffalo Bills will beat the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals. Just Marcus Allen (43-34) has the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Minnesota Vikings as well. Only one analyst correctly predicted the Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints game, with Chris Mortensen (48-29) picking Drew Brees to lead his team to the upset.

The four teams with byes in Week 6 are the Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each of these teams needs a week off, especially the injury-plagued Cowboys. It’s a chance to re-group for a playoff run in the second half of the season, even though it may be tough for any of these teams to realistically make a run still.

The rest of the Week 6 NFL expert picks come from games predicted to be a bit closer on Sunday. The ESPN analysts have selected the Arizona Cardinals over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Jets over the Washington Redskins, the Chicago Bears over the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tennessee Titans over the Miami Dolphins, and the San Francisco 49ers over the Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers vs. Ravens game is interesting, because the fans have gone with the Ravens to win the game. The fans are also going with the Lions over the Bears earlier in the day.

Saints Beat Falcons Week 6

With the Falcons losing to the Saints, there are only five undefeated teams left in the NFL. Overall, the ESPN experts have predicted that the Carolina Panthers will be the next to fall with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks. That would leave the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers atop the league in Week 7.

One game that is at the center of the NFL universe is the AFC Championship Game re-match between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. Despite playing at home, no analyst has picked the Colts to win this game. Heading into the rest of the Week 6 NFL expert picks, the leaders among the ESPN analysts are Keith Jackson (52-26), Keyshawn Johnson (51-27), and Chris Carter (51-27).
