WWE Rumors: Last-Minute Update On ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Appearing On ‘Raw’ This Monday – Pulled Again

For weeks now, there has been some confusion as to what exactly is going to happen on the upcoming Monday Night Raw. It’s the go-home show for next Sunday’s Hell In A Cell, and WWE has stacked the card for the big event in Dallas, but will “Stone Cold” Steve Austin be there? Well, he was going to be, then he wasn’t, then he was again, and now it looks like he really won’t be showing up.

Or will he?

This past Wednesday, a preview for Monday Night Raw included Austin as showing up along with Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, and The Undertaker. This was right after he had apparently been pulled from the show, leading to more confusion.

As you can see, Austin has been taken out of the image that he was in when WWE presented a preview earlier this week.

WWE.com has now released another Raw preview and any mentions of Austin being on the show have been pulled. They are still advertising his post-show “Stone Cold Podcast,” where Brock Lesnar will be his guest, though.

“Brock Lesnar’s Go to Hell Tour rolls through Dallas en route to Hell in a Cell this Monday night, and The Beast Incarnate isn’t coming alone. Also set to appear live on Raw in WrestleMania 32‘s host city are WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, as well as The Beast Incarnate’s Hell in a Cell opponent and bitter nemesis, The Undertaker.”

“After Raw, Lesnar will sit down with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for a special Stone Cold Podcast, only on WWE Network. The Texas Rattlesnake undoubtedly has some hard-hitting questions planned for The Anomaly in what’s sure to be Austin’s most intense interview yet.”

“Join WWE.com as we preview the star-studded final Raw before Hell in a Cell.”

So, Austin appears to not be on the main show of Raw, but he will be in Dallas and at the arena to immediately do the podcast with Lesnar after it is over. This is where a rumored “major angle” is expected to happen, but Steve Austin has shot that down, as well.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has already come out to confirm that he will be at WrestleMania 32 next year. Rumors of him wrestling a match at the event continue, but that’s been nothing more than speculation at this time.

Speaking of speculation, the Live Events page on WWE.com is still showing Austin on the “Included Superstars” for this Monday night. That has nothing to do with the podcast, and only to do with Raw, but it is always “subject to change.”

So, in the past month, this is how the flip-flop has gone down:

  • Steve Austin advertised to appear on Monday Night Raw with Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and others.
  • WWE makes no mention of Austin appearing on the Oct. 19 episode of Raw, but mentions everyone else.
  • WWE releases a preview saying Austin will appear.
  • Austin tweets that he will not be appearing on Raw, but will do the “Stone Cold Podcast.”
  • WWE releases a new preview saying Austin won’t appear on Raw.

If they’re looking to confuse the fans and leave them not having any earthly clue as to whether or not Austin is going to appear, then they’ve done a good job. This would be a great time to actually have him show up on Monday night because at this point, no one is really expecting him to appear.

At this point, it appears as if the final word and update is that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will not be appearing on Monday Night Raw this upcoming week. The go-home show for Hell In A Cell will have a post-show “Stone Cold Podcast” with Brock Lesnar, but “The Rattlesnake” won’t be in the ring for any reason… or will he?
