Lee Min Ho Of K-Drama ‘The Moon Embracing The Sun’ Confesses He Wanted To Propose To Kim Yoo Jung
When fans of Korean television and film are asked about Lee Min Ho, they probably think of the Korean actor who has had many popular roles in the past, including Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, Lee Yoon Sung or Poochai in City Hunter, Kim Tan in Heirs, and Kim Jong Dae in Gangnam Blues. However, Min Ho suffers the same situation as fellow Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, in which there is more than one actor using the same name. In Soo Hyun’s case, there is another famous actress with the same name who recently can be seen in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, she goes by Claudia Kim to avoid confusion.
Going back to Lee Min Ho, there is another actor who shares his name. Not only that, this other Min Ho has been gaining in popularity since his days as a child actor on period drama series The Moon Embracing The Sun. Now, he is getting a lot of attention for his confession that he wants to propose to his fellow co-star, Kim Yoo Jung.
This other Lee Min Ho is a 22-year-old Korean actor known for his role on Rooftop Prince as well as the drama series mentioned earlier, The Moon Embracing The Sun. However, he’s been starring in Korean television and film since 1998, when he was five-years-old and debuted in Soonpoong Clinic.
Yet, it is his relationship with Kim Yoo Jung that is getting a lot of attention these days. According to KdramaStars, he made such news known during the October 14 broadcast of the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) program, Radio Star. While on set of The Moon Embracing The Sun, Min Ho played a young Prince Yang Myung while Yoo Jung played a young Heo Yeon Woo. At the time, Min Ho was 19 while Yeon Woo was 13. Despite the six year age difference, they both got along quite well. As a matter of fact, Min Ho joked that when Yoo Jung was 20, he would propose to her.
“In Gumiho we played two people in love. We fooled around at the time a lot. However, that is probably why I started to have feelings about her.”
It should also be known that Lee Min Ho and Kim Yoo Jung had a kiss scene in Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho too as shown in the video above. While appearing on the program Strong Heart back in January of 2012, he talked about that scene and how nervous he was. Yoo Jung was in fact relaxed when it came down to it.
“Yoo Jung already had a kiss experience and she led me. She told me about things like camera angles.”
In the end though, Lee Min Ho will have to wait to make good on this promise to marry Kim Yoo Jung. Right now, she is 17-years-old which means she has three more years to go. Within that time period, Min Ho will have to do what he can so that Yoo Jung “sees him as a man.” From what Min Ho knows, he recently heard that Yoo Jung’s type is not him but his friend Yoo Seung Ho (Operation Proposal, Missing You).
