Daily Fantasy Football Week 6 Tips: FanDuel And DraftKings Picks

FanDuel and DraftKings are both giving away millions of dollar to their daily fantasy football players during week 6 of the NFL season, and it is important that you have the right players in your lineup. While FanDuel and DraftKings are no longer legal in the state of Nevada, according to Fortune, players in the other 49 states are already preparing their week 6 lineups. While you are competing against sometimes hundreds of thousands of other daily fantasy football players, the following guys can improve your chances tremendously of winning a huge prize.

RB Arian Foster — Houston Texans

After missing the first three games of the season due to a hamstring injury, Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster got off to a slow start. Against the Atlanta Falcons, he had eight carries for 10 yards and no touchdowns. In his second game back against the Indianapolis Colts, he had a slightly better line of 19 carries for 41 yards. He added nine receptions for 77 yards. Since the Texans last game was on a Thursday, Foster will have had more than a week to rest. According to a report from ProFootballTalk’s Twitter page, Foster finally appears to be close to 100 percent healthy.

Foster’s week 6 opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, are giving up an astounding 29 points per game on defense, second only to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since Foster is dangerous in both the running game and passing game, he is going to have a huge week against the awful Jacksonville defense. While he is going to be expensive in both FanDuel and DraftKings, he is well worth the price.

QB Andy Dalton — Cincinnati Bengals

For a quarterback that has been off the fantasy football radar for a while, Andy Dalton has started the 2015 season off on fire. The Red Rifle has thrown for 1,518 yards, 11 touchdowns, and only two interceptions in his first five games. The biggest difference from last year is that his receiving threats are now healthy. Wide receiver A.J. Green and tight end Tyler Eifert are among the best at their positions, and are allowing Dalton to put up monster numbers. The good news is that Dalton is still a cheap quarterback option in FanDuel and DraftKings for week 6. He will go to battle with the Buffalo Bills, who are ranked 22nd in passing defense. Here is a quick breakdown of Dalton’s success this year compared to another great Bengals QB, per ESPN’s Twitter page.

WR Julian Edelman — New England Patriots

For a wide receiver that was mainly viewed as a security blanket for Tom Brady in short passing situations, Edelman is on his way to an elite season. In four games, he has 34 receptions, 399 yards, and three touchdowns. Since he receives so many targets every week, he is an even better option in the points per receptions format that is common in FanDuel and DraftKings. In his week 6 matchup, he will face the Indianapolis Colts, who are ranked 25th in the league in passing defense. This is a dream matchup for daily fantasy football owners who are looking for a wide receiver that will still be available at a reasonable price.

TE Antonio Gates — San Diego Chargers

In his first game back after serving a suspension, Chargers tight end Antonio Gates had nine receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw to him early and often, and it is obvious that he is the main red zone target for their offense. While Gates will go up against the Green Bay Packers stout passing defense, he is going to have a huge game regardless. In FanDuel and DraftKings leagues, he is extremely cheap for week 6 compared other tight end options. ESPN reported on their Twitter account the amazing connection between Rivers and Gates.

While you are still going to have to fill in the rest of your week 6 daily fantasy football lineup at FanDuel or DraftKings, it is highly recommended having Foster, Dalton, Edelman, and Gates on your team.
