‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6: Khal Drogo Back From The Dead? ‘Aquaman’ Star Jason Momoa Spotted On Set

Is there another character set to return from the dead in Season 6 of Game of Thrones? Although Jon Snow (Kit Harington) has been at the focal point concerning resurrected characters, new images indicate that Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) will be returning to the show in the coming season.

Momoa’s character was killed off way back in Season 1 after he was drugged and then smothered by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). However, according to Hollywood Life, the actor was recently seen on the set of Game of Thrones during the production of the coming season, opening the door for a possible return.

In one of the photos, which was released by the Daily Mail, Momoa is featured in costume strolling alongside another actor and a horse. At the same time, another image features Momoa sitting leisurely on a horse and enjoying a cigarette.

Although the sightings on-set indicate that his character will be included in the new season in some capacity, it is not likely that Drogo will be coming back from the dead anytime soon. In fact, after Daenerys killed him in Season 1, she also burned his body, making a resurrection fairly impossible even for Game of Thrones.

With that in mind, Momoa’s presence on set probably means his character will be featured in a flashback in the new season. Although the storyline for the coming season is shrouded in secrecy at this point, it is known that flashbacks will likely play a large part of the story. If this is true, then Momoa’s incorporation in a flashback would make sense as other characters that have died off, including Snow, have also been seen around filming locations.

However, there is also the possibility that the Aquaman star was not present on set at all. The images that have been released are a little blurry, making it difficult to tell for sure if it is Momoa or not. After all, there are numerous photos of various Dothraki men that have been released, so it is possible that it is not him. Additionally, Drogo has tattoos, which is something the men in the photos do not have.

At this point, it is really anyone’s guess whether or not Drogo will be making a return. Given the fact that the only instance when Daenerys had a flashback of Drogo was back at the House of the Undying, there is a good chance that Drogo will not be seen again. According to iDigital Times, the only character set to make a return is Snow. However, with flashbacks being a major theme this season, it is possible that even Snow’s return could be in the form of a flashback.

Along with Snow and Drogo, another character who has been rumored to be making a return this season includes Ned Stark (Sean Bean). However, unlike Snow and Drogo, there has yet to be any photos released that prove Stark may be included in Season 6. That being said, with all the rumors floating around about resurrected characters, it is possible that Stark could return.

Meanwhile, in regards to casting news, James Faulkner is set to play the part of Randyll Tarly, Samantha Spiro will be portraying Melessa Tarly, Rebecca Benson will appear as Talla Tarly, and Freddie Storma will play Dickon Tarly. At the same time, both Richard E. Grant and Ian McShane will be making guest star appearances this season.

With the storyline for the upcoming season being kept tightly under wraps, fans will likely have to wait until Game of Thrones returns in April 2016 to find out which characters will be returning and which will remain dead.
