Joe Odom Speaks Of Lamar Odom As ‘Brain Dead’ Rumors Swirl, Begs Khloe Kardashian To Contact Him

Joe Odom has released a statement about his son, Lamar Odom, who was discovered unconscious earlier this afternoon in Las Vegas. According to a TMZ report, Joe Odom’s son had been partying at a brothel in Sin City since Saturday, and on Tuesday afternoon, was discovered by a woman, who had entered his VIP room.

While there doesn’t appear to be any foul play suspected in the incident involving Lamar, Joe Odom isn’t convinced and feels his son must have been drugged.

“Somebody drugged my son. There’s no way he’s down there partying crazy like that,” Joe Odom told Hollywood Life on October 13, just hours after news broke of his son’s dire state.

“I knew something was wrong because I’ve been calling him all day and he hasn’t been answering. I’m depressed right now — this is messed up! What can I do right now? That’s my son. I’m really hurt right now. This is the first time I’m hearing about it. Let’s give this some time. I pray that he will come out of this. I need all his fans to send him well wishes. If Khloe knows anything about this, please, tell her to call me. We all love Lamar and want him to pull through this.”

Hollywood Life also reported Kardashian was “hysterical” over the tragic news of her ex-husband, the 35-year-old son of Joe Odom.

In TMZ‘s report, an update noted that Kardashian, as well as her sister, Kim, and mother, Kris Jenner, were preparing to leave Los Angeles for Las Vegas, where they planned to visit with Lamar, and possibly, Joe Odom, if he is able to transport himself into town.

Back in August, in what may have been the most recent video interview of Joe Odom’s son, the former basketball star faced off with a TMZ cameraman, slamming the entertainment news company for exploiting his marriage and divorce from Kardashian, and claiming no one will work with him because he’s been “discredited” by the media.

“Me and that girl fell in love. That’s our business. You feel me? If we want to give you it, if we want to let you in our house, we can let you in — and we can f—–g kick you out at the same time… Do not disrespect my space. Do not disrespect my character, because that’s what you all have been doing from day one. Even if half the things were true, people know who I am. You all have discredited me, beat me down, took my confidence, took everything away from me!”

Joe Odom’s son’s relationship with Kardashian has been a hot topic in the media for several years, starting with their quicky wedding in September 2009, which happened just one month into their relationship. In the years that followed their marriage, Lamar and his wife appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as well as their own spin-off, Khloe & Lamar. Then, in 2013, rumors began swirling regarding Lamar’s alleged drug use (Joe Odom’s past also reportedly includes drug use) and rumored cheating, and in December of that year, Kardashian filed for divorce. However, it wasn’t until June of this year that Kardashian’s divorce from Joe Odom’s son was finally finalized.

While there have been reports claiming Joe Odom’s son is now brain dead, that hasn’t yet been confirmed by the authorities or by Lamar’s representative.

Joe Odom appeared on a couple of episodes of Khloe & Lamar years ago.
