Hayden Panettiere Goes Into Treatment for Postpartum Depression

Hayden Panettiere of Nashville has entered a facility to get help with her postpartum depression. On Tuesday, Hollywood Life shared that after being very open about the problem, Hayden is now getting the help she needs. She went into the facility totally voluntary. Obviously, Hayden realized she needs help and is doing the right thing. Hayden Panettiere had her daughter Kaya Klitschko back in December of 2014.

If you watch her show Nashville, at this time her character Juliette Barnes is going through the exact same thing. Hayden’s character has left behind her husband and baby to go back on the road and sing country music. She is spending a lot of time partying and not at home like most new mothers are after having a baby. Hayden Panettiere’s character is dealing with almost exactly what the mom is dealing with at home in her own real life.

At the end of September, Hayden Panettiere went on the show Live! With Kelly and Michael and she discussed all the problems that she was going through. Hayden was very open about having postpartum depression, but nobody realized that it was to the point where she needed to get help in a facility. It is not often that a woman will speak out so openly about this kind of health issue. While on the show, Hayden spoke out about her battle.

“It’s something a lot of women experience. When [you’re told] about postpartum depression you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child’ — I’ve never, ever had those feelings. Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”

Just a few days ago, Hayden Panettiere shared on her Twitter that she was starting to feel like herself again. It really did sound like things were getting better for her, but that was obviously not the case at all. She shared a photo along with the caption.

“Feeling like I’m #finally coming back in to my own body!mother #daughter #blessing #wellworthit @bonesthenskin”

It turns out that Hayden Panettiere was not doing near as well as she made it sound. There is no word yet about how this will affect her part on Nashville at all. With the storyline going on now, it would be very easy to make Juliette do the same thing and go into a facility for treatment and not be on the show for a few episodes. Obviously, they have filmed ahead so you can at least expect to see Hayden on the next few episodes. It will all depend on how long she gets treatment and what all happens when she returns to the show again.

At this time, Hayden Panettiere is asking for privacy while she gets treatment. She has not shared where she is, or how long she will be there. All that is known is that she is simply getting treatment and made the decision to do it on her own. Hopefully, this will work for Hayden and she will be back to herself in no time. Fans are wishing Panettiere the best.

Are you shocked to hear that Hayden Panettiere is in a treatment center for postpartum depression?
