Meghan King Edmonds Fired From ‘RHOC?’ Vicki Gunvalson Responds To The Possibility

Could Meghan King Edmonds be fired from The Real Housewives of Orange County ahead of the yet-to-be-confirmed 11th season? Although an official season 11 cast will likely not be established until next year, following the series’ likely renewal, Vicki Gunvalson recently responded to a fan who said Meghan King Edmonds “needs to go.”

Below was the tweet:

Gunvalson’s October 13 tweet about Meghan King Edmonds wasn’t her first. Back in August, amid Real Housewives of Orange County season 10, Gunvalson re-tweeted a message, in which a fan called for the removal of Meghan King Edmonds from the Bravo reality series.

Despite Gunvalson’s desire to move on with the show without Meghan King Edmonds, it doesn’t appear that she’ll get her way. In September, a source told Real Mr. Housewife that producers of the show had no plans to remove Meghan King Edmonds from the cast. In fact, they reportedly feel she’s a great addition to the show.

“[Meghan King Edmonds] is a breath of fresh air for the show. She is uninhibited, unafraid, and always speaks her mind. What’s more is that Edmonds has been an integral part of this season. She came right in, called things like she saw them, and assimilated her way into this group of women. In addition, a lot of the drama this season surrounded Meghan, so she definitely has producers interested in continuing to explore her storyline next season.”

Meghan King Edmonds joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County earlier this year for season 10 as the wife of MLB star Jim Edmonds, and a friend of cast member Heather Dubrow. And despite her differences with Gunvalson, she’s fit in quite nicely with the rest of the show’s stars, including Tamra Barney and Shannon Beador. While Meghan King Edmonds and Beador didn’t initially get along, they have since gotten to a better place, and during her latest blog, Beador sounded hopeful about a future friendship with the show’s newest cast member — especially after her friendship with Gunvalson came to an end.

Although Meghan King Edmonds has wrapped filming on the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, her drama with cast member Brooks Ayers has continued due to his recent legal threats against her. Following numerous claims by Meghan King Edmonds, which alleged Ayers was faking his stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis, Ayers sent her a letter of cease and desist, requesting she stop talking about his health, and issue an apology for the comments she’s already made. However, rather than follow through with Ayers’ legal requests, Meghan King Edmonds refused, encouraging to file a lawsuit against her and prove his case.

Last week, Ayers told fans he would be silencing himself on the issue at the advising of his attorney, but days later, he shared an article about his allegedly “fake cancer” on Twitter. Meanwhile, Meghan King Edmonds responded to the former boyfriend of Vicki Gunvalson’s announcement about staying silent, claiming there was no pending litigation between them.

For more Meghan King Edmonds, tune into The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10’s three-part reunion special, starting next Monday night, October 19, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
