Leah Messer Takes A Stand Against ‘Shaming Pregnancy Bodies,’ Sends Facebook Message To ‘Teen Mom 2’ Fans

Leah Messer may be caught in the middle of major drama, but judging by her Facebook posts, the Teen Mom 2 star isn’t letting her Season 6 drama get the best of her. Although Leah Messer continues to face harsh criticism for having an affair with her ex-husband, Corey Simms, during his relationship with Miranda, as well as her rumored drug use, the reality star and mother of three has remained silent about both issues in recent weeks. Instead, she appears to be focused on the positive.

“EVERYONE Have a GREAT week. xoxo,” Leah Messer wrote to her Teen Mom 2 fans just before 7 a.m. on Monday morning, October 12.

Hours later, Leah Messer shared a second post with fans, which included a story about pregnancy shaming. After reading about a TV anchor in Australia who had been called “fat” and “ugly” while pregnant, Leah Messer told fans, “People need to stop shaming pregnancy bodies.”

For the past several weeks, as infidelity and drug use rumors swirled, Leah Messer attempted to take the spotlight off of those issues and instead put the focus on her Facebook posts about pregnancy. While the reality star had previously shared messages with positive stories with fans, she began sharing posts about pregnancy, pregnant bellies, and babies as the speculation into her alleged drug use reached its peak on Teen Mom 2 Season 6. Right away, fans began to wonder whether or not Leah Messer was trying to conceive.

Although Leah Messer claims to be currently single, her ex-husband, Corey Simms, appeared to blow her spot during the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 reunion last week. During the show, Simms alleged his 5-year-old twins had claimed their mother’s boyfriend, rumored to be her personal trainer, T.R. Dues, was living in their home and sleeping with Leah Messer.

Also during the special, host Dr. Drew brought up the fact that Simms’ relationship with Leah Messer appeared to overlap with that of Miranda, which the two shockingly admitted. Although Leah Messer and her ex-husband didn’t reveal details about when exactly their romance blossomed, Leah Messer was likely married to her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, at the time. Because Leah Messer’s relationship with Calvert began prior to Simms’ relationship with Miranda, Messer likely cheated — again (Leah Messer also cheated on Simms just before they walked down the aisle, which she admitted to on the show).

On Twitter at the end of August, after he and wife Miranda were seen confronting Leah Messer with allegations of hiding a “drug problem,” Simms explained his decision to face-off.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

Leah Messer claims there is no truth to rumors of her alleged drug use and insists she only sought treatment to tend to issues pertaining to her mental health.

No word yet on whether or not Leah Messer will be seen in a possible seventh season of Teen Mom 2.
