WWE Rumors: ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Pulled From Next Week’s Huge ‘Monday Night Raw’ In Texas

WWE has been building up toward a huge Monday Night Raw next week in Texas that will include Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, and many more. Well, there was one more name that had been included with those legends, but “Stone Cold” Steve Austin may no longer be appearing on next week’s show if tonight was any indication.

During tonight’s Raw, which was recapped by WWE, there were mentions of Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels’ appearances for next week. At no time was Austin’s name mentioned during the show and that’s honestly kind of odd.

Near the end of Raw, the official WWE account on Twitter even tweeted out a preview for next week and Austin is noticeably missing.

Making things even a little more awkward is that they tagged The Undertaker, but that is not the WWE star’s Twitter account. The Deadman isn’t even on social media and the person tagged is for an account of someone named “Josh Brown.”

Even though Austin wasn’t named tonight and wasn’t in the graphic tweeted out by WWE, he is still listed in the “Included Superstars” page for next week’s Raw. The live events page has him as appearing, but of course, that is always subject to change.

This is the go-home show for Hell In A Cell and WWE is looking to boost ratings as much as possible. Having these huge stars at the show in Texas, Austin and Michaels’ home state, is something they hoped would really help.

WrestleZone had even reported that a “major angle” of some kind was going to take place during the “Stone Cold Podcast” after the show. Brock Lesnar is scheduled to be Austin’s guest on the show and that is reportedly still happening without any problem.

What may have happened, though, is that Austin was taken off of Monday Night Raw and will merely be doing the podcast afterward. There’s still no understandable reason as to why Austin wouldn’t be on Raw, but tonight’s show sure made it seem like he won’t show up on WWE television on Monday.

The really big sell for next week is getting more people to watch Hell In A Cell in two weeks. That’s why WWE not only had all these big legends showing up, but both Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker as well.

When they meet inside the cell at the Pay-Per-View, it will mark their third and final match to put an end to a feud that has lasted about a year and a half. The winner of the match will break the best-of-three series and pretty much claim dominance.

Constant rumors have been going around that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will have a match at WrestleMania 32, and that it could be against Lesnar. Austin has confirmed that he will be at the big event in Houston, but that he won’t be wrestling and he will definitely not be wrestling Lesnar.

Still, that hasn’t stopped the rumors from happening and his denial of everything actually made them stronger. Whether Austin will ever wrestle again is not known, but he has said that he’s in the best shape of his life so don’t count it out yet.

Next week’s Monday Night Raw is going to be a big one and will pave the final road for Hell In A Cell, but it may not include “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Hopefully, he will still have his podcast with Brock Lesnar as his guest after the show, but WWE should give more of a confirmed word sometime this week.
