Chris Soules Says Witney Carson Is ‘Like A Sister’: ‘I Got To Know Her Very, Very Well’

The Bachelor star Chris Soules has yet to leave the celebrity spotlight. After filming the Bachelor and competing on Dancing with the Stars Season 20, the Iowa farmer is currently appearing on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. He’s also very single, yet still in touch with two ladies who kept him on the cover of gossip magazines for several months.

Despite his breakup with Whitney Bischoff last May and rumors he had a fling with his DWTS partner Witney Carson, Soules tells Us Weekly that he has a great relationship with both women. Chris says that Witney is “like a sister” to him, and he predicted her recent engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Carson McAllister.

The DWTS pro dancer got engaged earlier this month and texted Chris with her happy news. The farmer-turned-reality star thinks Carson is “an awesome guy” and could tell he was the one for Witney after meeting him a few months ago.

“[Witney] is like a sister to me. Somebody that I really got to know very, very well and so I could just see that there was a lot of chemistry there and I know that she was ready.”

The other Whitney in his life, the fertility nurse he got engaged to on the Bachelor, doesn’t fall under the “like a sister” category, but Chris tells Us that they are “absolutely friends.” Although Chris and Whitney never revealed the real reason for their breakup — other than the fact that they only dated a few times on a reality show before getting engaged — he claims that they still have a friendship.

“We’re still friends and we catch up regularly. She’s doing great.”

Soules, 33, presented Bischoff, 29, with a massive Neil Lane engagement ring on the March 2015 season finale of the Bachelor on ABC. Shortly after the finale aired, Chris jetted off to Los Angeles to start practicing for the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Rumors immediately popped up online that Chris was cheating on Whitney with his dancer partner, Witney Carson. Bischoff stopped attending the live shows early on in the season, further fueling gossip that the couple split. However, it wasn’t until after the DWTS finale aired in May that Chris and Whitney issued a joint statement about their split.

It’s been over four months since the breakup and both Chris and Whitney are still single. Chris tells Us that he’s “taking a step back” after “dating 30 women and being engaged.” Although he does think that the right woman will come along, he just wants to get back to “a normal life.”

That “normal life” includes harvest time at his family’s Iowa farm and “not doing any reality television in the fall.” Although he currently appears on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America, he filmed the show back in June.

Whether Chris will take on another reality TV gig in the future is unknown. For now, he’s spending his day farming in Iowa, rooting for Witney Carson and her partner, Carlos PenaVega, on Dancing with the Stars, and giving advice to the current Bachelor, Ben Higgins.

During an interview with Today last week, Soules stated that he had a chat with Ben before he started filming the Bachelor last month. He told the Colorado software salesman that he should “go with this gut’ and “prepare for the unexpected” while filming the show.

Will Chris watch Ben’s season of the Bachelor? He may or may not want to watch — according to Reality Steve the runner-up on his season, Becca Tilley, is one of the 26 girls competing for Ben’s heart.

Earlier this week, Steve posted photos of Becca in a wedding dress heading out on a one-on-one date in Las Vegas. How her relationship with Ben will play out won’t be known until the Bachelor airs in January, but it will be interesting to hear Chris’ reaction if he watches Becca try to find love (again) on national television.
