Vicki Gunvalson Duped By Brooks Ayers’ Cancer? Shannon Beador & Andy Cohen Dish Before ‘Real Housewives’ Reunion

Has Real Housewives Of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson been forever changed by ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers, including her friendships? Vicki, once the life of every party with her “whoo-hoo!” laugh, has been increasingly agitated throughout the drama-wrought episodes of RHOC. Now members of the Real Housewives cast such as Shannon Beador, show producers and even Vicki’s daughter, Briana Culberson, are stepping forward to offer their views on Brooks’ cancer claims.

Gunvalson formerly counted Shannon among her friends. But now Vicki and Beador have become frenemies, reported Radar Online.

Shannon predicted that the reunion special for The Real Housewives of Orange County would feature her team versus Vicki’s side. But, an insider shared that the relationship between Beador and Gunvalson became fractured long before the taping of that much-awaited RHOC reunion.

The friendship went kaput when Shannon and Vicki were lunching to discuss Brooks and his cancer.

Beador recommended that Vicki show documentation of Brooks’ cancer to end the controversy.

“During that lunch, Shannon should have just been a listening ear and a friend. That is all that Vicki wanted her to be at that moment. Instead, she pushed and pushed when Vicki was really just wanting to have someone to talk to,” said an insider.

A different source opined that Shannon contends Gunvalson is trying to blame her for the situation.

“Yes, the feud did start at that lunch,” confirmed that insider. “Shannon told her to get medical records because she was trying to be honest with her.”

Rather than act on Beador’s recommendation, however, Vicki became outraged. Shannon has not budged in her view, according to the insider, who added that Gunvalson knows the truth.

What is that truth, however, when it comes to confirming that Brooks does have cancer? Vicki’s daughter, Briana Culberson, an ER nurse, does not believe that Ayers is honest, reported the Daily Mail.

Briana revealed that when she met Brooks, he told her that he had pancreatic cancer. That was years ago, however, added Vicki’s daughter. Briana persisted in questioning Ayers about his cancer claims.

“He broke down and told me he had pancreatitis – inflammation of the pancreas that can be caused by alcohol abuse,” said Gunvalson’s offspring.

Briana predicted that either Vicki would one day discover the truth or that Brooks would suddenly announce he was magically cured.

Even producers of the Real Housewives Of Orange County doubt Ayers’ cancer claims, reported the Daily Dish.

Andy Cohen, the maestro of the Real Housewives franchise, and John Hill, Bravo producer, discussed what happened when Andy interviewed Brooks. Cohen also offered a sneak peek of the RHOC reunion special.

“I interviewed Brooks, which is going to be played during the reunion,” revealed Andy. “You will [know about Brooks after that interview].”

The interview segment between Cohen and Brooks lasts about an hour, and Hill viewed it and offered his analysis on Vicki’s ex-boyfriend.

“I watched that entire thing and I was riveted,” admitted John. “I wouldn’t be surprised if [Brooks’ cancer diagnosis is] fake, if it’s not true. I don’t think that if something is true, he wouldn’t be defending it like he is.”

While Brooks’ interview segment may add a special flair to the reunion show, Cohen also mused about what will make this reunion of the Real Housewives Of Orange County cast members different from previous years.

“I always say, ‘Oh it was very dramatic.’ What I liked about this reunion was there are a lot of revelations,” shared Andy. “It was the most adult Orange County reunion that we’ve had in a few years…meaning there was not a ton of screaming. There were emotions; there were tears…What I loved was there were a lot of revelations; there were things revealed that were very surprising from almost everybody.”
