So what is the secret to the radiant grins that seem ever-plastered across the faces of Prince William and Duchess Kate? The Daily Mail relays the very tips that have been shared about the royal couple’s bond.

“Chilled nights in, strong family values, a shared love of sport and plenty of banter are to thank for shaping their idyllic marriage – and looks at the relationship we can all can take from them.”

The couple, who married back in 2011, are clearly smitten with one another and are not shy about hiding the joy they have while in each other’s company. Recent public displays of affection at various events, such as Wimbledon and rugby matches, have been snapped by photographers. The lingering stares and frequent embraces make it clear that Will and Kate are just as taken with one another as they were when they first tied the knot.

The Daily Mail shares the observations made by body language expert Judi James in regard to the happy couple, William and Kate.

‘The men of the royal family are often celebrated sporting figures, whilst their wives sometimes take a slightly more compliant role. I think William loves the fact that Kate joins in and they can share these moments, but also that they have this competitive, playful side to their relationship. It shows that, despite being the future King and Queen of England, they are actually a rather normal couple, too, who like to joke around with each other.”

James continues to note that Kate and William seem to be one another’s playmates who can laugh with each other. This helps the royal pair to be more identifiable to onlookers and royal watchers due to the sense of normalcy this establishes.

In addition, James notes that the relationship between Kate and William is somewhat similar to the playful competitiveness that William shares with his younger brother Harry. The expert states that, “The fact William also has that with Kate, I think, makes them even closer and proves that they really are friends as well as husband and wife.”

Sloan Sheridan-William agrees with James in terms of a playful and loving yet competitive nature being a key component to a healthy relationship and shares that Kate and William really have that aspect of their happy relationship just right.

“We have all heard the phrase ‘the couple that laughs together stays together’ and, although cliché, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge really have this aspect of their relationship figured out. Wills has been vocal about how similar their sense of humours are and that he teases Kate playfully about certain endearing habits.”

There have been many publications and experts that have noted the genuine acts and displays of affection and friendship which keep the Duke and Duchess in a strong and unified marriage. As the Mail additionally reminds, the New Zealand Herald‘s Nicky Park described the interactions between the couple in a spot-on manner, after witnessing their bond while the couple was on tour in the country.

“In between all the pomp and ceremony, it was all the seemingly ‘real’ royal moments that endeared us to William and Kate the most. The smiles, brief brushes and bits of banter between the two made us coo.”
