Terrell Owens Fires Longtime Agent Drew Rosenhaus

Drew Rosenhaus is out and Jason Woy is in as the new agent for former NFL star Terrell Owens. Woy currently represents a handful of Dallas Cowboys players including Anthony Spencer, Jason Hatcher, Kenyon Coleman and Dan Bailey.

Owens on Tuesday released the following statement on his website:

“I am making changes in my life so I can continue my career as a professional football player. I have hired Jordan Woy as my new agent. It was important for me to hire someone who believes in my ability to help an NFL team and believes in me as a person.”

The football career Owens is speaking of has been almost non-existent. Owens managed to play in several Indoor Football League games as a member of the Allen Wrangler of Texas but ultimately he was cut from the team and his partial ownership was stripped after he allegedly failed to meet team obligations.

The last time Terrell Owens played professional football in the NFL was in 2010 when he was a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his statement the 38-year-old continued:

“I love the game of football and I know I can help a team. I have had to go through some humbling times, but I am more determined than ever to show a team that I can be a huge asset to them as a player and a team leader in the locker room.”

During his 15 season NFL career Terrell Owens racked up 1,078 receptions for 15,934 receiving yards and 153 touchdowns. Owens however was often viewed as a showboating wide receiver who caused various distractions in the locker room which ultimately led to his release from the teams he starred on.

Owens in recent child support appearances has told the court he is broke and unable to make agreed upon payments based on his former NFL salary.
