‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Brings New Looks For Everyone, Including The Opening Credits [Video]

Pretty Little Liars ended on one heck of a note last season, and while many fans were left feeling a little jaded after finding out just who “A” has been all this time, that doesn’t mean they aren’t looking forward to seeing what’s next for the girls.

It’s been some time now since the first half of Season 6 of Pretty Little Liars came to a close, and for those who need a little catch up or reminder, here is where we left off. If you have yet to see it, please avert your eyes.

In the final episodes of season 6A of ABC Family’s hit show, Pretty Little Liars, things got pretty intense for the girls of Rosewood. Fans finally knew who “A” was — well, sort of. At this point, the girls had figured out that “A” was really named Charles, and he was supposedly related to the DiLaurentis family. Now, we already knew that the Dilaurentis family was a troublesome one, but fans weren’t all that ready to learn that Charles was indeed the brother of Alison – the brother she never knew she had.

According to the story, Charles was a troubled child and after what his parents believed was an attempt to take baby Alison’s life, they had him institutionalized at Radley Sanitarium. It was there that Charles really began to find himself and as he grew up, he began realizing that he was a girl trapped in a boy’s body. That’s right, folks, Charles was a transgender female.

Of course, the girls weren’t made aware of the transgender struggle Charles went through, not until fans were made aware, at least. During the final episodes of the first half of Season 6 of Pretty Little Liars, the truth all comes out. Fans learn that Charles is really CeCe Drake, a regular on the show, and while many were left feeling a bit empty and or angry, it was a simple way to wrap up the long running mystery of the true identity of “A.”

The first half of the season wrapped up nicely from there. The girls knew who “A” was, CeCe was taken away, and our pretty little liars could all turn their lives around and make new starts as they all go off on their separate ways. The perfect little happily ever after for the liars, right?

Nope. After the mid-season finale, fans were given a little taste of what they could expect for the next half of the season. It’s five years later, and the girls are all brought back together once more. Everyone seems to have gotten a little makeover, and they all seem to have moved on from college to adult life nicely, except for the fact that the games have seemingly begun once again.

While it seems the girls have all come back to catch up, there is defiantly more to it. But what is haunting them now? Guess we will just have to wait until this winter to find out. But in the meantime, ABC Family has given Pretty Little Liars fans everywhere something to think about!

With the five-year time jump, there were bound to be some changes. Yes, we see that some of the girls get quite the makeovers to give them the appearance that they are now post-college age, but that’s not all that’s gotten a makeover. According to E! News, ABC Family has finally released the new opening credits, and while much remains the same, there are a couple of key differences that have fans wondering.

The only real changes made to the opening credits is that Allison has joined the liars outside of the coffin, and instead of Aria doing the iconic “shh,” it’s Emily. What really has fans wondering is the fact that there is still a blonde being dressed up and placed in the coffin. All these years it was believed to have been Allison in the coffin, but if she has joined the girls in the lineup, then who exactly is the girl that’s being put to rest? It’s not a new person in there, so is this another clue to something that we’ve been missing all along?
