DraftKings And FanDuel Week 5 Fantasy Football Stars

DraftKings and FanDuel may be facing heat for the latest scandal that resembles insider trading, but they are open for business during Week 5 of the NFL season for fantasy football fanatics everywhere. Now that the first quarter of the NFL season is over, it is becoming more apparent on who the best fantasy football performers will be from week to week. While you may not be the next DrafKings or FanDuel millionaire, here are a few players that you need to have in your lineup for Week 5. Since there is a salary cap, you will not be able to pick all of them, but keep them in mind when choosing your expensive players.

QB, Tom Brady (New England Patriots)

While he will not be cheap to use on DraftKings and FanDuel lineups, Tom Brady is going to have another monster game this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Coming off of his bye week, Tom Terrific is well rested for his Week 5 matchup and will be going up against the 19th ranked secondary in the league, according to NFL.com. With 1,112 yards and nine touchdown passes, Brady is better than ever at the advanced NFL age of 38 years old. Tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Julian Edelman have been unstoppable this year, and Brady has an undeniable chemistry with the both of them. After Deflategate, Brady and the Patriots are poised to show the NFL that they can win in spite of being called cheaters. Look for them to roll up the score this week, and for Brady to throw a ton of passes. This fantasy expert has already made Brady his pick.

RB, Matt Forte (Chicago Bears)

At 30 years old, many fans and analysts expected Forte’s production to go down this season. After four games, he has been better than ever. The dual-threat running back will be facing a Kansas City Chiefs defense that is ranked 14th in rushing defense, according to NFL.com. While he only has one touchdown so far, look for this number to go up with quarterback Jay Cutler getting healthier. While Forte will cost in you DraftKings and FanDuel leagues this week, you should be able to get him cheaper than Le’Veon Bell and Jamal Charles.

WR, Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons)

With 38 receptions, 478 yards, and four touchdowns this year, Julio Jones has been unstoppable during his historic start to the 2015 season. While his numbers were down during Week 4, look for him to bounce back in a big way for Week 5. Jones and the Falcons will face the Washington Redskins on Sunday at 1 p.m. While the Redskins rank as the 9th best passing defense according to NFL.com, Jones is going to have his way with them regardless of what they do. Jones is going to be the most expensive wide receiver for Week 5 on both DraftKing and FanDuel, but he is well worth the price.

WR, Jordan Matthews (Philadelphia Eagles)

Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews came into the year with a lot of hype. The second year receiver was supposed to have a breakout season for an offense that was supposed to be prolific. Instead, he has 25 catches, 281 yards, one touchdown, and a ton of drops. Matthews has the talent and quarterback Sam Bradford likes throwing the ball his way though. With the Eagles facing the New Orleans Saints 20th ranked passing defense according to NFL.com, expect Matthews to have his breakout game this year. Since he has started off so slow, you should be able to get him for fairly cheap in DraftKings and FanDuel leagues, compared to the proven and elite wide receivers.

TE, Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs)

While we would love to recommend Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, he is just so much more expensive than the rest of the pack. While Gronk is the best of the best, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is also capable of monster games at a much cheaper cost. Kelce has started the 2015 season with 21 receptions, 293 yards, and two touchdowns, which is among the best for a shallow tight end position. Look for him to get at least five receptions, 70 yards, and a touchdown this week against the Chicago Bears.

While the New York attorney general is launching an inquiry into both DraftKings and FanDuel according to ESPN, you still have a chance to become a fantasy football winner during Week 5.
