Miranda Simms Responds To Criticism Over Meeting With Corey And Leah Messer On ‘Teen Mom 2’

Miranda Simms caught fire after the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 finale. During the episode, the reality star and wife of Corey Simms traveled to a local restaurant, where they planned to meet with Leah Messer to discuss the child custody issues they’ve been facing due to their 5-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah. However, when Messer discovered Miranda Simms was present, she immediately called off the meeting, claiming she wanted to meet with Corey alone.

Although Miranda Simms’ Twitter account was marked private midway through Teen Mom 2 Season 6, OK! Magazine revealed one of her recent tweets on October 5, in which she addressed the backlash she faced due to her alleged decision to listen in on Messer’s pre-planned discussion with Corey.

“I was ASKED to go to the meeting and asked to sit at a different table for filming,” Miranda Simms wrote, after being targeted by fans online. “You really think I wanted to be there? No.”

Miranda Simms has been married to Corey since 2013, over two years, but despite her commitment to Corey and to his twins, she claims she gets no respect from Messer. For years, Miranda Simms has been a major part of the twins’ life, but according to Messer, she has no right to be involved in any of her custody conversations with Corey.

In late August, Corey spoke out on Twitter, defending himself and Miranda Simms against fans online, who have suggested they be more supportive of Messer.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that [Miranda Simms] and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

Although Corey and Miranda Simms have received some backlash from fans online, they’ve also received support from those who are convinced their allegations against Messer are true.

Throughout the sixth season of Teen Mom 2, Corey and Miranda Simms have been fairly silent when it comes to what they share online. Instead, they’ve been focused on their family, including the twins and Corey’s third child, which Miranda Simms is currently expecting. Meanwhile, Messer is currently twice divorced with three kids, her twins and her 2-year-old daughter, Adalynn, whose father is her second husband Jeremy Calvert.

For the last several months, Messer has been liked to her personal trainer, T.R. Dues, but despite reports claiming the two have shacked up together in West Virginia, the Teen Mom 2 star has yet to admit to the relationship.

Although there have been rumors regarding a possible seventh season of Teen Mom 2, it is unclear whether or not Miranda Simms and her husband will participate. Throughout Season 6, the couple appeared to be growing more and more frustrated with what has kept from cameras, and the upcoming reunion was no different.
