Grace Jones Rips Lady Gaga, Who Faces Controversy Over Racist ‘Blackface Slave’ Photos

Lady Gaga may be idolized by her fans, but that doesn’t mean every single celebrity is a fan of hers. Let’s take Grace Jones, for example, who — according to the Courier Mail — has described Lady Gaga as soulless.

“Grace Jones has slammed Lady Gaga in a new interview, saying she didn’t ‘feel a soul’ when she met the controversial pop star. Jones, who became infamous for her unique style in the 1980s, told Us Weekly that she likes to ‘get to the soul of a person’ but couldn’t ‘feel a soul’ when Gaga approached her.

Grace Jones has consistently ripped Lady Gaga apart for copying her. Of course, Jones wouldn’t be the first to accuse Gaga of coming up with unoriginal ideas. Madonna slammed Lady Gaga on her MDNA Tour by singing a mashup of “Express Yourself and “Born This Way,” clearly trying to make a point.

However, Madonna holds nothing against Lady Gaga and she proved this in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

“I don’t think she wants my crown. We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other. And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I’m doing…The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs.”

Madonna went on to say that Lady Gaga is a very talented singer and songwriter. Lady Gaga has been praised by many for her musical talents. However, Gaga’s taste in throwing parties, especially where her guests are dressed in Blackface and have chains on them, may not get such accolades. Photos from what looks like a gay slave-themed party have appeared on Twitter and other sources.

There is even a petition on Change.org which calls for people to boycott American Horror Story and their advertisers due to Gaga’s alleged racism. The site has the offending picture with a petition containing a harsh statement.

“In 2011, Lady Gaga held a completely tasteless gay slave auction in Berlin…She took pictures with the ‘slaves’ and talked in a Southern accent the whole night. She had the photographer of the event fired.”

Even though Lady Gaga has never commented on the context of these photos, people signing the petition are very angry.

“This woman is a sick human but she is brainwashing her fans to be racist,” says Ariel DeJesuz of Lansing, Michigan.

“I don’t think kids should be influenced by this talentless racist freak,” says Rocio Lopez of Memphis, Tennessee.

The uproar on Twitter has continued since American Thinker made the photos go viral last week.

Lady Gaga has been accused of racial insensitivity before, especially when she released the song “Born This Way” in 2011. She used terms such as “Chola” and “Orient” to describe different groups of minorities. It’s obvious that Lady Gaga’s words (used in the context of the song) were well intended, but people took the words out of context and accused her of being racist.

Lady Gaga will be a featured star in the upcoming season of American Horror Story. Are you excited about seeing Lady Gaga has an actress? Let us know in the comments section.
