Jax Taylor Files Second Lawsuit In Recent Weeks, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Endorsement Deal Gone Wrong?

Jax Taylor has just filed his second lawsuit in the last couple of weeks. After first filing legal documents against XCALIBUR Shoes, the Vanderpump Rules star is suing a teeth whitening company over what he claims was a failed endorsement deal.

In his lawsuit against the teeth whitening company Lumibrite, which was first reported by TMZ on October 7, Jax Taylor claims he signed a deal with the brand in 2009, in which he agreed to pose for ads. However, while his deal ended “a long time ago,” Jax Taylor claims the brand continues to use his photos. When TMZ reached out to Lumibrite, they had no comment in regard to Jax Taylor’s legal action against them.

At the end of last month, TMZ reported news of another lawsuit filed by Jax Taylor.

According to the September 29 report, Jax Taylor is suing XCALIBUR Shoes due to their alleged failure to pay him $25,000 for endorsing their brand. In his documents against XCALIBUR, Jax Taylor claimed to have reached an agreement with the company in 2014, in which he would receive $20 for each pair of shoes sold, as well as 10% of the net sales he generated. One year later, however, Jax Taylor claims XCALIBUR has not followed through with the agreement, which required them to pay him at least $25,000. In addition, Jax Taylor claims, their failed endorsement deal has made it hard for him to find other jobs in the same arena.

Jax Taylor joined the cast of Vanderpump Rules in January 2013 for season one, and has been starring in a full-time role ever since, along with the likes of Scheana Marie, Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval and Katie Maloney. During season three, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor’s ex-girlfriend, who had previously been full-time, was reduced to part-time, and fans got to see more of Ariana Madix, girlfriend of Sandoval, and Tom Schwartz, fiancé of Maloney.

Although Schroeder will be seen on the fourth season, Jax Taylor’s ex-girlfriend announced back in May that she would no longer be appearing on the show during an episode of her Podcast series, Straight Up With Stassi. Below is what Schroeder told fans of her decision to quit her gig with Bravo.

“The decision to leave the show was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, and it’s been something that I have deliberated over for two entire years now. I was so proud of myself when I actually came to a point in my life where I felt confident enough, not just as a woman, but as a person, to be able to say that I’m going to walk away from a lot of financial security. I’m going to walk away from fame. I’m going to walk away from opportunities to do other things, all because I don’t want to be in a situation that doesn’t make me happy.”

After Jax Taylor’s relationship with Schroeder came to an official end during Vanderpump Rules season two, Schroeder went on to date Patrick Meagher, and Jax Taylor dated a number of women, including Tiffany Matthews and Carmen Dickman during season three, and his current girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, during season four. However, while fans are expected to see plenty of Jax Taylor’s new girlfriend, Schroeder’s boyfriend, Meagher, will not be seen during season four.

For more Jax Taylor, tune into Vanderpump Rules season four, when the series premieres on Bravo on Monday, November 2, at 9 p.m.
