‘RHOC’ Star Brooks Ayers Slams ‘Real Housewives’ As ‘Toxic,’ Claims ‘Reality TV Destroys Lives’

RHOC star Brooks Ayers has been fighting back against claims of faking cancer since the start of the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County in June. Although the RHOC star claims to be suffering from stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, many of his co-stars don’t believe him and have made it their business to expose what they claim to be cancer lies.

According to Ayers, he was diagnosed with cancer in late 2013, and ever since, he has been doing whatever it takes to fight back against the illness. However, due to his stopping chemotherapy during filming on Season 10, speculation began to grow in regard to the RHOC star’s diagnosis and treatment during the early episodes of the show. According to Meghan King Edmonds, the RHOC star’s co-star, it was unsafe to stop chemo.

Following the initial speculation into the RHOC star’s cancer, Edmonds began doing her own research, and according to what she found, Ayers’ allegations weren’t adding up. She even claimed his medical records, which were seen during a September episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10, were “forged.”

A short while after the episode aired, an oncologist spoke to Radar Online, claiming the documents shown didn’t seem to be legitimate medical papers. According to oncologist Kristina Mirabeau-Beale, the RHOC star’s paperwork included typos and jumbled words, which were not typical to see in records presented to patients by a doctor. Mirabeau-Beale also noted that the scan the RHOC star underwent during production wasn’t an indicator of cancer. While cancer may be seen during testing, the actual test itself proved nothing.

Although there seems to be mounting evidence against the RHOC star, he stands firm in his diagnosis, and recently sent Edmonds a letter of cease and desist, demanding she stop discussing his cancer diagnosis and alleging his faking his illness. While Brandi Glanville claims stars of the Real Housewives franchise aren’t allowed to sue one another, Ayers is threatening a lawsuit against Edmonds if she doesn’t quit her chatter. Still, despite the RHOC star’s legal letter, Edmonds recently told People Magazine she isn’t at all worried about Ayers’ potential lawsuit.

“I am waiting patiently on my official documents that I’m being sued. I already got one letter threatening to sue if I don’t comply with his requests, including one to issue a formal public apology.”

According to Edmonds, Ayers gave her a deadline to respond to the letter or risk the RHOC star pursuing legal action against her. However, despite the threat, Edmonds chose to ignore the document.

“I didn’t respond on purpose, because he’s full of crap and doesn’t have a case. So now I’m waiting to be sued. He won’t. He knows he’s a liar and he’s pissed off at me and made a feeble attempt to intimidate me into not talking. When really, it’s so ridiculous I simply laughed it off. He doesn’t have the balls to sue me.”

On October 6, the RHOC star retweeted the following message to fans, which made his feelings towards The Real Housewives of Orange County extremely clear.
