Former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin’s accident a few days ago landed the reality TV star in the hospital briefly, reports indicate. Fans will be relieved to know, however, that Zarin’s injuries were seemingly fairly minor, and she was not in the hospital for long. What’s known so far about the incident?
Us Weekly indicates that Jill Zarin’s accident happened on Friday in New York City. The former Real Housewives of New York was involved in a car accident as she was heading to an event to publicize her latest project.
The last that Zarin was on Instagram was to post a teaser about that very project, Night of the Wild. Jill teased that it was almost time for the premiere of the film on the Syfy Channel, and Zarin’s accident happened as she and her publicist were on the way to a promotional event for the film.

Reports indicate that Zarin’s accident involved three separate vehicles in a pile-up that happened Friday on the Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive. Jill’s sister, Lisa Wexler, confirmed the news about the former RHONY star’s accident via Twitter shortly after the incident.
Fans were worried as news of Jill Zarin’s accident spread, but her media assistant did post some updates on the star’s Twitter page assuring everybody that Zarin was fine. It didn’t take too terribly long for Zarin to get back on the social media site herself to let fans know she was doing fairly well.
Zarin tweeted a thank you to all of her fans for their support as the news spread, and she indicated that she was doing fairly well other than being a bit bruised. Details about Zarin’s accident from Entertainment Tonight indicate that she was a passenger in the incident that took place Friday morning.

The Real Housewives of New York star was rushed to the hospital, and reports indicate that she was briefly unconscious. The official statement from Jill’s rep detailed that she was treated for unknown injuries and soon released.
Radar Online shared additional details related to Jill Zarin’s accident. Sources indicate that the driver of Zarin’s car had to suddenly slam on the brakes, but it didn’t keep the vehicle from getting mixed up in the pile-up. The car was reportedly going about 30 mph at the time of the crash, but Jill wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
Zarin told Radar Online that “The lesson from all of this is always wear your seatbelt!”
Though the official statement from Jill’s rep did not detail the RHONY star’s injuries, it seems she was dealing with some tingling down her spine and some back pain in the hours after the accident. From the sounds of things, she is expected to ultimately be fine.
After Zarin’s accident and release from the hospital, she headed home to recuperate. However, that didn’t keep her from tweeting quite a bit throughout the premiere of Night of the Wild that aired Saturday night. It seems that fans enjoyed watching her in the role and were left clamoring for more.
Though Zarin’s fans have been flooding her social media pages with support both related to the crash and the movie, there are plenty of RHONY fans sharing criticism via online commentary. Radar Online even shares a photo of Jill being taken out of the vehicle, something that some think seems like a questionable move on the part of those with Jill during the accident.
Regardless of the criticism from some Real Housewives of New York fans, Jill Zarin’s accident seems to have been serious enough to throw her promotional plans off. Luckily, however, it seemingly was not so severe that she will have long-lasting problems.
