Chris Bosh Will Return For Game Five [Report]
Before game four, Miami Heat coach Eris Spoelestra said that he wasn’t even thinking about putting Chris Bosh in a uniform. Well, it looks like a lot has changed in the last 24 hours. The star forward will reportedly return to the court for game five against the Boston Celtics.
“According to multiple sources, the Heat are hoping to activate Chris Bosh for Tuesday’s Game 5 if he doesn’t suffer a setback in workouts over the next two days. Bosh declined to discuss his status following the Heat’s 93-91 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday, which tied the series at 2-2.”
So basically, Bosh is getting better and he could be ready to play on Wednesday night. But then again, he could also be sitting at the end of the bench.
Bosh has been out for three weeks with an abdominal sprain but has been participating in practices for the last week. ESPN notes that if Bosh does come back for game five, it’s probable that he’ll be playing a limited amount of minutes.
But even a few minutes with Bosh on the court could make the difference for Miami. The Celtics have been able to take advantage of his absence during the first four games. Kevin Garnett has averaged 20.5 points and 10.8 rebounds during the series. It will be a little tougher to produce similar numbers with Bosh in the paint.
