‘Real Housewives’ Jill Zarin Knocked Unconscious In Car Accident

Former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin was involved in a major car accident on Friday that involved a pile up on the FDR in New York City. Zarin was allegedly knocked unconscious as she rode in the back seat of her car.

Zarin was on her way with her publicist to promote a new project when the accident occurred, according to RadarOnline.

“Zarin was unconscious at the scene and hospitalized, but was back at home in NYC by 3 ET, suffering from back pain and slight tingling down her spine. She told Radar, ‘The lesson from all of this is always wear your seatbelt!'”

Fox News reports that Zarin was able to leave the hospital soon after the accident, but the extent of her injuries won’t be known for a few days.

“Jill Zarin was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where she was treated for unknown injuries and later released,” her representative told the website in a statement. “Zarin is currently at home recuperating and no additional details are available at this time.”

She was able to leave the hospital to go home and rest.

“Jill is doing well and resting after the car accident this morning,” she tweeted from the reality star’s account.

E!Online says that Zarin thanked fans for their concern, and said that she is in “recovery mode.”

“Jill Zarin was a passenger involved in a three-car pileup on the FDR today at approximately 11 a.m. while en-route to promote her film Night Of The Wild, which premieres tomorrow at 9 p.m. on SyFy,” the Bravo reality star tells us in a statement.

People Magazine believes that the accident won’t keep Zarin down. Recently, she chatted with People about which Real Housewives star she’d like to have dinner with, and it’s all about the food.

“I’ll tell you whose dinner party I want to go to: Lisa Vanderpump,” Zarin tells People about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. “She knows how to throw a party. I’d probably be scared to have her as a guest because I’d be scared to be judged.”

She said the food is even more important than the company when it comes to dinner.

“It’s all about the food,” she said of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, “and then it’s all about being fat. You were born to eat and then feel guilty about it.”

But elegance is still important when it comes to entertaining.

“It’s really nice to take a place card and write out what the meal is,” she adds. “Romance it. Food tastes better when you describe it.”

But Radaronline still insists that Zarin has not closed the door when it comes to returning to The Real Housewives franchise. She is disappointed that she was left out of the anniversary special.

“I was surprised that there was so much drama in the press surrounding the anniversary special. In truth, there wasn’t any drama at all. I was in the Hamptons and committed to my charity events and taking care of Bobby as we fight his cancer and I couldn’t attend. I sent a lovely note wishing everyone the best and it was really as simple as that. In fact, I’ll be on Watch What Happens Live next Thursday, (October 8 at 10:30pm ET), to chat with Andy about my new film, and it will be a really fun appearance. I’ll be making a big announcement, so I hope everyone tunes in to Watch What Happens Live.”
